As a hip-hop fan it is my duty to check out anyone who claims to be a Hop-Hop artist and evaluate that claim. It is natural for me to compare my opinion with other hip-hop fans. Unfortunately, there are many opinions on the definition of hip-hop. The question is not "is Canibus better than Wayne?" but is "what is your definition of hip-hop?" and from there comes the answer to the former question.

So, no I'm not a rapper, I don't know much about hip hop. Although I don't need to. I have a firm grasp on the English language and that is my whole point. I do appriciate rap. Also, I have been listening to Canibus for years because I respect his individuality, but that does not disprove my point.
I like Tupac, Dirty Boyz, and Bone Thugs.. and thats about it as far as rap music is concerned.

I put a lot of emphasis on Bone Thugs ability to harmonize the sound of their lyrics, to the rhythm of the beat.
My point isn't that this song sucks.. Its just that some of the references he makes just don't add up.
Rhythm requires far more creativity than the utilization of advanced English. Bone Thugs don't appear to be bragging of their knowledge, and then proving they lack knowledge at the same time. It seems Canibus trys to be different. While Bone thugs are different. MUSICALLY.
