Phil did slow role and it was a bit out of order. The newbie is a tight passive player, Phil knows that and he knew that he was gonna call his all in because the guy re-raised on the flop. And Phil talking about being scared of 10s full is total shit because you have to call anyway. I mean, ffs he had the third nuts.

But tbh, that is one hell of a bad beat, one of the worst I've seen. 0.18%, geez.....

Yes I'm a super nit. That explains why I call people down with bottom pair on the river at times and win and why I fold a flopped set at times and it's the right fold. Why am I bothering to talk to you? I imagine you must play very similar to E-dub if you're rooting for that bs. If you know anything about the way the hand played out Phil can only put him on 10-10 or an over pair. You obviously need to play more poker. Experience will help you read hands better.

I don't know how the game is played in penny rooms, but if you fold 9x in this situation with that much in pot, you'd get run over in higher stakes. Phil had 9 with top kicker, and making all that speech about over pair, that's a classic slow roll. "IF" he was "REALLY" thinking about folding that's is so -EV. I know my game isn't hot but I'm a winning player at 100NL. We can HU if you want

@nybombs First off there is no doubt he is going to call, but if you've played as many hands as I have you'll be in situations where the guy would have 10-10. The fact edub called preflop a huge bet when he should have RAISED made it harder for phil to be sure he had AA or KK but phil could put him on any pocket pair 10's or better that he couldn't bare to let go but is playing weak. We can't HU unless it's in person, full tilt is down in the US.

Just to educate you for a sec a slow roll is when you take a unnecessarily long time to show your winning hand at the show down to make your opponent think they have won when they haven't. All of Phil's talk about over pairs and everything he did before E-dub called his all in is known as Hollywooding. Phil did Hollywood, he didn't slow roll.

that's honestly just the way phil thinks about poker. he expects the guy to have tens full. plus the guy had 40k left. when you're playing with phil, you shouldn't all at be surprised that he was going to turn over a 9-x if he was staying in the hand. if he had queens he would probably would have folded out of fear of the nine.
