  • Well, I think it started with a mistake but he did not everything to prevent that.

So, it was a unlucky situation.

  • cheater!!!

  • even with this kind of thing, he's still the best ever, and if i was in his shoes(or car) i'm pretty sure i would play dirty to win too.

  • Schumi's comments after the qualifying were just pathetic, trying to lie with a straight face.

  • Let's see what Flavio Briatore does about the Renault scandal from last year??

If he can keep a straight face.

  • What an idiot!!! LOL

  • Hes very very good but he gae up on that lap after the chicane afer tunnel he was feet away from the wall from that onawards he wasn;t on the limit.

  • He is one of the best drivers ever, but he sometime used some dirty moves.

This is one of them 2 other that stand out for me is when he crashed into Jacques Villeneuve in 1997 to try and stop him from winning the Championship, and when he did the same to Damon Hill in 1994.

  • Almost ramming Frentzen out of the race in Canada in 1998, coming out of the pits. Any other driver would have gotten a serious punishment for that.

Winning the race in the pits in Silverstone in 1998, a travesty of a win if there ever was one. Still, justice when he broke his leg in Silverstone a year after.

Driving with illegal devices for the most part of the 1994 season, only missing 3 races as result.

Good he was, but hardly sportsmanlike ever. Jerez 1997 and Adelaide 1994.

  • Coulthard, Spa 1998, Suzuka 1999, indy 2000.. Senna, Suzuka 1990.. Spy Story 2007... Shut up, losers!!!

  • yes , but situation with Damon wasn't same! it was Hill's mistake!

  • damn!!!!!!!!

j was so happy that he was going to come back

    but too bad!!!!!

  • but he dont make a comeback =)=)=)

  • Yoy CHEAT!

  • i think it starts in a mistake and ends with a foul.

SCHUMI IS THE BEST DRIVER EVER.

I'm very happy about his comeback

  • very very bad comment........

  • Hey, was shreibt ihr für einen Scheiß?

Schumacher ist der Beste von allen!

  • yes i dont know why should he try to block the way there?

he was celver enough to know that he would get penaltilized therefore

  • an honest mistake by a great man

  • it was a driving error

  • he really is clever but hes a fucking cunt tbh

  • ASSHOLE !!

  • fuck he isnt a asshole he is great driver

  • yes he is :)

  • I agree genuine mistake but he tried to turn it in his favour unfairly.

  • very bad one

  • A genuine mistake....then he used it as a trick to prevent Alonso from taking pole.

  • he is a smart guy but not smart enough to realise that 3rd or 4th on the grid is alot better than the penalty he recieved.

  • oh come ooooooooooooooon guys

  • shumacher rules!!!

    xaxaxaxa what an idiot

  • Im very sorry to inform you Mr Schumacher that you have failed your test based on your parralel parking.

  • he read the rules and finds all the flaws in them

  • cheating. shummy no fair play

  • Precision

  • Shumi had to start at the back of the grid for this, despite him and Todt maintaining (to this day) that it was an accident.

Lets see if Mclaren get a matching penalty for exactly the same offence of lieing to the stewards......

  • shumi had to start in the pit,not in the grid

  • My recollection is that he was put to the back of the grid then chose to start from the pitlane so he could change his fuel strategy.

  • I love how he has to press the engine kill switch twice to "stall" the car and then he throws his arms up in the air! XD classic micheal.

  • he shud let alonso take pole bcuz in the race he set the fastest lap wich means he could of jumped alonso thru pit stops but he is still the greastest ever

  • he made a mistake ...and during that mistake he parked his car..he could have still made the corner but he chose not to...hahahah..still hes the greatest of all times,,looks like an instinct reaction..he did what he had to to maintainpole..hes destined to win,,.,

  • naughty naughty very naughty hahahahaha

  • he was always the best in the tracks. there was no need to be so anti deportive. this is one of shummy's sad moments...

  • I would make a little crash there, If I want to have P1.

  • yeah i agree with bkent95, Schumacher just went into the corner too fast, and they always penalize Schumacher to give the other drivers an advantage, because they're always penalizing Schumacher and sending him to the back of the grid, IT IS DOWN RIGHT REDICULOUS! Schumacher is very quick, especially at Monaco, and he will always be the best and most skilled and experienced driver in the whole world.

  • if you look closly at 0:33 and 0:34, he goes into Rascasse with too tight of an entry, which caused a slight slide that michael corrected. Then he had to avoid the inside barrier at about 0:34.5 so he had to straighten the car out and in the process, he wasn't angled enough to make the corner, so he parked it there

  • I believe it started as a mistake. But when Michael noticed he was making a mistake, he just parked his car to slow down Alonso and achieve pole. So after all, it was a trick.

  • it was a mistake .... you cannot take that line in that corner .... NO WAY !!!! ...... its obvious his gonna run straight into the barriers....for this corner you have to allign the car wide first and brake early and then turn in sharp...he just went straight in the corner without braking enough, which means it ws obviuos he was gonna run wide....he made a mistake ... simple...

  • It may have been a mistake at first, I don't think it was planned. But I think he certainly could've avoided parking the car where he did, and there is absolutely no excuse at all for stalling a modern F1 car. The antistall system just doesn't allow it, and this isn't any old driver we're talking about, this is Michael Schumacher. No way he can accidentally stall a car. Whether he was being an unsporting cheat, or a genius at work, it ultimately cost him the race.

  • I think it was a mistake. He turned in too early, probably because his timing got thrown off from the slide. That was a pretty eventful corner and going that fast I'm sure it;s hard to stay ahead of the car. He made a mistake.

  • Wow, you deserve the gold medal for this idiotic remark madcat360. A mistake....a deliberate one man. You haven't been watching racing for long...all to clear that this was done on purpose. Everybody saw his stupid cheat and all the racing fraternity (but not asshole Todt) were unanimous in saying that this was a first class cheat.

  • Watching it now, it seems as though the truth lays in between. It was a bit of a mistake into that corner, but Schuey then used the consequence of that mistake to his own advantage. It was a split-second decision in the middle of the corner to let the car go straight on.

  • Just one word ...........Buffone.......People have so deeply embadded prejudices by Media that they even can't see anymore the reality .Buffone ,they said, and that's exacly what he is.He should learn to walk on his own legs like Senna ,Montoya or Hakkinen without Barrichello,Massa and Sauber and all the dirty joke that always stopped other clean driver.....Buffone.

  • i noticed that micheal had opposite lock in the middle if rasscase adn then turned away from the corner, i think he did that because if he had continued turning right, the rear wheel would hav hit the wall because the rear wheels take a tighter line then the front, but the stewerds hav the data, jus an opinion

  • Buffone ,they said, and that's exacly what he is.He should learn to walk on his own legs like Senna ,Montoya or Hakkinen without Barrichello,Massa and Sauber and all the dirty joke that always stopped other clean driver.....Buffone.

  • If Lewis Hamilton or someone else would do that... man... the FIA would have showed him the Black Flag for the whole Seashon lol and punish his Team with another 100m bill!

  • I'm a Schuey fanatic, but I think he did it purposely. He was clearly pushing hard and did have a little slide into Rascasse. If you watch the video, the fist time he turns the wheel after he arrests the slide, he could have turned the corner, but that was when he purposely turned back again and knew that it would be impossible to turn and therefore block the track.

  • He did do it purposely so the FIA would throw the yellow and pause the session. That way, everyone would just get a warm-up lap.

  • Schumacher was trying to ask the personnel push the car back? Why was he angry?

  • I just don't get it, why was Schumacher punished for a mistake or some sort of failure. And he wasn't blocking the racing line that much and it made little difference. Alonso simply couldn't accept defeat and how Schumacher was faster and I think he actually won the race 'off the track'.

  • love the "shoe" - but reckon he did on purpose

note - he had a minor stall - and made sure to switch off - so as not to overheat

    no major lock-up either

  • Hard to tell. I think he began his turn too early and tried to correct. It didn't happen and he lost it. Hey, things happen fast at those speeds. He had nothing further to prove. Already the all time # 1 driver F1.

  • The greatest drivers always have the toughest critics, Senna, Schumi, and now Hamilton.

  • SCHUMMY the best...XD

  • it was a mistake...that was not intended by SCHUMACHER, the greatest man ever in the F1 business.

  • I think its sad that Alonso made a big deal over this calling Schumacher a cheater then the following season he does similar stuff to Hamilton. Sad little hypocrite Alonso.

  • Hahaha.

  • u see the tires smoking, it was a mistake.

  • How can they not be blinded after coming out of the tunnle in to the sun, amazing skills

  • Their helmet are like special shades...

  • That is not the thing! The human eyes handel this light change essentially better than this cameras.

  • Such amazing skill. Incredible.

  • Monaco is crazy nowadays, i really dont know if schumaher did that on purpose or not, but whoever wins a monaco GP is a real winner no matter what! I respect every one who wins Monaco GP!

  • alonso the best? hihi si si certo.....come no. benetton renault.....mcl.....spy story ya ya the best alonso. ya. uhuh.

  • fattene una ragione, lo spagnolo nn raggiungera mai il tedesco, l'unico ke in grado di farlo e hamilton.

  • Esse Schumacher, mais uma que ele apronta pra ficar na frente.

  • Alonso was never held up by Schumacher

  • thanks for posting this..i love these '1st person' racing vids!

  • if he didn't park the car he would won the title

  • Yep IF only....

  • Schumi turns the engine off when the marshalls come to his car

  • Alonso sucks

  • I hate Alonso!!!

  • 0:24 that's sooooo scary!

  • schumi the best it's not cheat simply

  • szegény Schumi, itt ment el a vb :(

köcsög FAsz viszont örülhetett remélem ott rohad meg a rönoban

  • LOL, i'm tifosi but sorry, that was staged. it's sooo friggin' obvious.

  • jól mondod!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Michael, endlessly talented, but such a poor sportsman...

  • fucken hell, are the F1 cars using the shortest gear ratio available at monaco?? or is in fast motion or something??

  • i think its most likely to get up to speed quicker.

  • They have to otherwise it would take forever to accelerate. There are short accelerating distances and a lot of braking in cote d'azure (Monaco). Good observation chap!

  • I really don't get it how people always say F1 vids are fast motioned/forwarded. They're just that fast.:p

  • People who doesn't look F1 are fools

  • he wanted to tie senna's record at monaco

  • áhh Schumit nem kellett volna megbüntetni, egyértelmüen kiderül a videobol

  • Look how he steered away at :34. That's no mistake. And he kept the engine running and could have got out of there, but deliberately stalls it so it looks more like a mistake.. The adjudicator (whatever his name is) is no mug..

  • everyone who says this was not by mistake is blind

  • i'm 4 ferrari but this is going to far for bringing alonso on seconde position.but now is 2007 and not 2006 so people don't be anymore mad it's over ciao

  • Ouch!!!!!! its a concrete jungle......it could happen to any one driving this track, all these comments....bla bla bla .hey it is what it is.....an extremely hard track, could you post a faster lap......ah.......No...

  • Schumacher did a mistake. Räikkönen on the other hand...

  • Aaah, jesus, cos you're not going to be biased with a name like that are you??

  • What a retards who says it was "just a mistake". It was obviously intentionally.

    Great job Dick Dastardly!

  • If you were in Schumi's seat, and you got a mechanical failure would you park somewhere convenient and hold up other cars or park immediately and let other cars go? I think Schumi did the right thing. Anyways, Monaco is like that. I've always been impressed on how drivers could race through such a tight and narrow track.

  • sumi, tramposooooooo, ya estas viejo y no lo reconoces.

alonso ye el mejor, o no veis ke se lo yeva de calle todo.

  • Fuck You alonso!

  • yeah fuck you alonso i hate alonso

  • I can only see this as a complete mistake by Michael and nothing more. He did not know anyone was on a faster lap and deliberately stoping there would risk someone hitting his car and compromising his race and his life. Come on be real! I would like to point out that Alonso does not lift off on his lap - sure he slows down but no more than he would have to normally to do that corner. Forza Ferrari

  • It's Fisichella in the Renault in this video. And the drivers are in constant radio contact with the team, so MS could have been told that he's slow in S2 and that there are others behind him on flying laps.

And look at the way he moves the steering wheel. He didn't even WANT to turn into the corner. Pathetic.

  • it's fisico, i just saw another video with another shot of the same part and it said fisichella, and it also showed his helmet better and the black camera (for second drivers) box on top of the roll hoop.

  • I didn't say it was a mistake that Shumi started from pit-lane =(

  • Remember Zidane's final match? Everybody likes him, but it didn't hinder him to hit Materazi =) I respect Schumacher very much, of course he knew what he was doing, but Michael has got too much races, when he was absolutely brilliant.

  • WHAT A CHEATER IT LOOKS SO OBVIOUS! theres no way that that was an overteer what ever!

  • That only a legend can do. Schumi is The Best.

  • You guys really don't know anything... The was no point of schumacher cheating especially since Alonso could not have improved his lap anyway! Schumacher was running fastest lap and trust me... Alonso had no chance of catching up with him!

Schumi is a legend and Alonso is an immature brat and a baby. Sorry, but sometimes we must be objective

  • Schumacher was 0.4 seconds off his own time in S2, and Alonso, Raikkonen and Webber were all on flying laps, potentially laps faster than MS. Alonso was 0.02 seconds off the pole time in the end.

With no yellow flags, at least 2 drivers would have beaten MS. Cold hard facts.

  • how can you say that, you dont know how they would have done alonso is one of the worst drivers in f1 and would probably of fucked up anyway

  • Oh what a cheater he was!! It was a shame... and a totally unnecessary manoeuvre. He couldn't afford losing more points to Fernando Alonso and pulled out one of his dirty tricks. He knew how to spice up things. We will miss him... Or maybe not?

  • Someone should have reminded him that valet parking is only available off-track.

Too bad he did that, because it was looking good. He might have ended up in the front row anyway even if Alonso eclipsed him in the quali.

  • el mas antideportivo de la historia

  • schumi hasn´t cheated!!

  • i doubt Alonso would've been on pole even if michael hadn't pull of this trick and had michael started 2nd im certain he would've won

  • nice acting job

  • Schumacher,the cheatmaker!!!

  • If Schumacher really did make a mistake, pretty cunning it would happen then, Didn't happen anytime in the race it happened them, what a coincidence, and he flicks the steering wheel left.

  • schumacher is part of those bunch of bureaucrats you idiot, also the new news are that ferrari doesn´t want him anymore, they want a kimi massa association, so if schumacher decides not to leave the next year he will definetly have tough relations with the team.

  • bullshit

  • What are you an idiot? Ferrari were ready to offer 20 million euros so Michael could stay with them, but Michael did not take the money because he wanted to retire. And the next best driver is Kimi so they put Kimi in the team.

  • Good old schumi, the only interesting thing left in a sport removed of its excitement by a bunch of bureaucrats and paper pushers.

  • Well said maite !!

He is the last good thing that exists in the sport and look how people go captain bonkers on him just to defame him. Jealousy ....??? ...I suppose !

But Atleast some ppl have some brains !

    Michael Schumacher Forever !

  • Alonso lost the best time because of Schumacher, it's impossible that Schumacher made a mistake as that, but Schumi's fans say that he made a mistake. But of course the FIA and the stewards made the only good choice. This is the only explication, and if the FIA, in 8 hours, have made this choice, so their choice is true.

  • Actually Alonso did not lose any time at all, Renault was just too pissed off and were complaining about it.

  • in realtime it happens so fast, i could be an accident. but whats in schumis mind, we don´t know, and the FIA could NOT proof that it was purpose.

so the last startplace is too hard punishment!

  • Yeah, perhaps they should have just penalised his Q3 time and let him start 10th.

  • But still the Man of the race was Schumi !!! Yeahh ..

He was start at pitline but finished in 5th position .. :D

    Schumi still the best !!!

  • weird...:(

  • definately slowed alonso down. good thing he won it!

  • This is what you think, but when they see yellow flags, they have to slow down. Perhaps from 240Kph to 230Kph. Only a few, but sufficient to lost the pole

  • i dont think it cost him anything schu wasnt even in the way and alonso doesnt even look like he noticed it.

  • Of course he sl;owed down Alonso, he was 0.062 seconds away from Pole AND he had to slow for the yellow flags or he's be penalised for that.

    Definatly cost Alonso pole.

  • I'm positive the 0.062 time was a different lap

  • But he did not disturb him, I think.

  • did anyone notice that alonso had one driver in front of him?

  • the guy that renault is Fisichella, alonso had nobody in front of him in his final lap. however, apart from all this slow motion videos this gives a much better view on what happened. I mean in slowmo it is quite easy to say, "he could have even mad it...". well although it seemed that schu did this on purpose, i think he didn't but unfortunately the stewarts had a different opinion ;)

  • hmm suspicious although it didn't look like it cost alonso

  • It didn't.... Renault cheated.

  • @tiana20 - i agree
