Es agradable volver a rememorar esta canción, pues se trata de uno de mis preferidos de este grupo.

Es interesante que en esa época, un grupo que era exitoso cantando en inglés se haya decidido a traducir y grabar su música en español y tener éxito en nuestro idioma, cuando por lo general la norma era hacerlo a la inversa (de español a inglés).

Además lo cantaban muy bien para no hablar español, aunque es cierto que hay cantantes que cantan sus obras en idiomas que no hablan.

Hi Gaian, yes it was very good of Abba to record and perform many of their best songs in Spanish especially for their South American fans! This is a superb singing and dancing performance by the girls, with a fantastic bit of solo piano playing by Benny at the end!

Abba generously donated half of all royalties from this song to UNICEF in recognition of the International Year Of The Child in 1979. By May 2007, the song had earned roughly 2.5 million US dollars for UNICEF!

Hi Liana, nice that they sing this magical song in your family's home language and country. Spanish is a major language world wide with a huge market that most groups ignored, but not Abba! The girls had coaching to make sure their pronounciation was correct. Abba were perfectionists at everything they did, no detail was overlooked!

Yes this is a wonderful song Kat, heightened by Benny's brilliant piano playing! Abba were excellent at recording their hits in foreign languages. They did quite a lot of Spanish versions, and became familiar with the pronounciations, making it as good as the English versions.

Abba did plenty of concerts in the 70's Chiki. Unfortunately they disbanded in 1982, so there is no possibility of any more concerts from them. However don't despair as the film of their sell out musical Mamma Mia is due to open in July this year. Meryl Streep and Piers Brosnan star. It contains 22 of their best songs, and is the nearest to a concert available now. I saw the stage show in Bristol last year, it was the best show I've ever seen!

I'm more experienced than smart, I've been listening to pop music since the Beatles and Stones appeared in the 60's. This is a superbly arranged tuneful and catchy song that Abba aimed specifically at the Spanish speaking South American market. I was inspired to provide this video because I want to share great Abba music with others!
