That was so off the point of what I said as to be ridiculous.
My point is that Churchill inaugurated a hatred of the Soviet Union, for better or worse morally, that allowed the proliferation of WMDs, CIA installation of dictatorships in the Middle East, Asia and South America, and wars, notably, in Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Columbia, Cuba, Chile, Peru, Gautemala... the list is endless, as are the causalty figures.

Read your history books and read about the dictatorship in the USSR. I have friends in the former DDR and I have been in Budapest at the time of the Iron curtain over Europe. Go away with stories over hatred from Churchill to other nations. It was Stalin who installed communist regimes in the east of Europe and who split Germany for many years.

I don't care what happens in the Arab world (although, I might pedantically point out that Iran isn't in the Arab world). We're talking about the EDL demonstrating against building mosques in the UK, where the vast majority of Muslims are law-abiding, moderate, liberal citizens.
Christians in America and Nigeria, for example, are responsible for terrorism and racial violence on a regular basis. I don't see the EDL protesting new churches.

Ironic that you'd use Churchill's words here. He was the man who first instituted the idea that the Soviet Union was going to destroy the West in his Iron Curtain speech, an idea that sanctioned the murder of millions of Vietnamese and Koreans, as well as offering the ideological backdrop to the destruction of the unions and a huge reduction in the living standards of working people. An indeed, that was a reduction that aggrevated racism in the UK and gave birth to the banalo-fascist EDL.

I know a lot of Muslims, and they don't complain about victimisation. The point is that the EDL is a response to ten years of villification of Islam. The state requires an enemy so that it can re-direct the population's energies away from the sickening state of politics in the UK, the internal lobbying, the sleaze, the cash-for-votes scandals and the fact that they rewarded the failure of global banks with 1.2 trillion pounds of taxpayer money.

The EDL are not attacking muslims in general, the leader of the EDL did an interview saying muslims are welcome to join, they are against muslims who are against our way of life not all muslims. People like Choudry who want to change our country into an islamic state, as far as I can tell thats what they are protesting.

Mr Chodary is fairly obvious a radical in the Islamic community, and his influence is probably akin to the influence of fascist organisations, like the NF, in the white community. And the NF is responsible for many more attempted terrorist acts and violence than British Muslims. I don't see you protesting the far-right.

The EDL may say that they are only protesting against radical Islam, but demonstrating against the building of legitimate places of worship and welcoming Geert Wilders, a man who wants to ban Islam in the Netherlands, is pretty obviously an attack on all Muslims in the UK. The EDL's rhetoric is utterly transparent.
