  • Earl Klugh names his top influence as being Chet Atkins.

  • Two Brothers & One Good Ole Boy...Marvelous !!!

  • Man, this is some nice stuff...!!

  • *****!!!!!!!!!

  • @hsmarlon a remainder about this tone w/ Chet Akins was astounding and all other appearance w/ Earl Klugh back in the day I will always be remember.

  • Amazing trio

  • Believe it or not there is a whole show of this somewhere out there. I remember seeing the entire thing. It was from a P.B.S. show called soundstage.

  • 1 dislike goes to the guy who can't play that last lick. Holy smokes, that was insane!

  • This is Totally Awesome - - -! They should have done a World Tour!!

  • This is awesome, thanks for uploading! Three players, all absolute masters of different types of technique, Chet a finger picker, George a flat picker, and Earl with a classical style. The end result is unique and beautiful. Interesting, George appears to do a little finger picking at :50. I don't think I've ever seen that from him before.

Hard to believe there's one clown out there that actually voted "dislike"!

  • 1:45 - Django phrase! I like that.

  • do you reckon wearing an unbuttoned shirt with tigers on it makes you a more powerful lover? i gotta get me one! lol

  • Brilliant rendition of this Don Gibson country classic, with just enough jazz & blues styling from George & Earl to make it an instant classic version! I've heard Chet play this differently on multiple occasions and I think his work here is the best to date.

  • Bravo indeed. Masters all. I still miss Chet

  • DEProf06.... I TOOO TAPED IT FROM A CASSET TAPE FROM TV THAT FINALLY GAVE WAY...

  • @gitpa1 if you can, please tell me how to get this entire show. thier is a song earl klugh played with the keyboard player, that im trying to find for the last 20 years. cortezmac@yahoo. com, is how you can reach me. thanks

  • chet definitely brings it home at the end.... i'm completely convinced that there isn't a single idiom of music that George Benson doesn't OWN.. he's like a music Chameleon he can play anything

  • All of these Guys are the best we have, but I have to say, Old Chet brought it home at the end

  • I remember when this was on PBS Soundstage. I had an audio recording of it that finally gave out.

Do you have any of the other tracks from that show? the whole thing was great. I see Manha de Carnival has been posted. There was also Starts & Stripes (Chet), Cry A Little While (Earl), and other oustanding stuff. I

  • Wow! That was great musicianship. Chet displayed some excellent skills. But it's funny because George Benson is so competative and he showed off his amazing abilities too. I wish I could have seen this live. But I'm a youngin and wasn't born when this concert took place so that couldn't have happened anyway.

  • Pure genius at work x3!!! What a super combo of talent on that stage! George doesn't even have to look at the fingerboard either when he plays. Earl k. just keeps the rhythm going, too. Great post, thanks,Chuck. - G.L.54
