Give them some time. One or two of the Wembly shows were professionally filmed and recorded. Sooner or later Robert will give the green light to release them. He knows there's a lot of interest in it. Don't worry, this isn't like his thing with holding out on releasing "Carnage Visors". As he put it to me when I met him in 2003 "If people saw it they wouldn't be so excited to see it, trust me. It's bloody awful."
They've had 20 years, plenty of time. And Carnage Visors is nothing to wait for, but the Prayer Tour is definitely something that doesn't disappoint fans. Dodge Stadium was filmed too I believe, as I've seen pro shot footage of closedown and plainsong, excellent quality.
Yes. Since Boris (drummer) and Porl (guitarist) left, The Cure declined. Porl is back now and they released Dream 4:13 this is their best work since 1992.
But The Cure still needs a good replacement for Boris as the current drummer is not good and lacks creativity and good sound live and studio.
Is Boris Williams the old guitarist? They so need their old guitarist back. They haven't been the same since he left. Disintegration and Wish were the last albums that had that old Cure sound we all love so much.
it's great quality what you on about! spent all of 1989 lying on my bed watching the light fade listening to disintegration. the best album ever made...
Yeah.. this sounds fantastic for 89. Disentigration came out in the Spring of my Senior year of high school, and I played it almost constantly that Summer, and into my freshman year of college. Good memories, and a great song there.
disintegration is timeless, so far we've only gotten a few new gems from the Cure. You guys like 4:13? I didn't even buy it, but the song "Down Under" is amazing.
wow...fantastic...they were at the top of their powers with disintegration...thanks very much for sharing...if you have something more from the prayer tour i'd really apreciate it...i missed that gig back in 1989 when they played in my city...i've never blame myself enouugh for that...
Yes,Disintegration is actually the best Cures` album,in my opinion..don`t blame yourself for that prayer tour,as for me,I was only born in 1989,not even listened to Cure=)
Well, the trilogy version is not that bad, but obviously, there's nothing better than the freshness of playing that brand new song in 1989. When they played this song in mexico city on sept. 6th 2004 I was almost crying. Beautiful song...
The trilogy version uses the wrong keyboard samples, that is what botheres me, how can they not use the original keyboard samples, roger had them, but chose those horrible off-key versions for the berlin shows... i dont know why. yep the mex city ver was nice.
Amazing!

this song must have been inspired by joy division's "atmosphere" at least the drum pattern.

I just remembered that the drummer left after Wish along with the guitarist. Was probably the loss of the two of them that changed the band so much.
