Yes, I use jumping to cancel my casts (which as a holy priest is often). Honestly I could just push Esc, but it's a habit and I'm not too worried about breaking it.

True, you dont want to escape on a loot roll that coincidentally opens at the same time, its just distracting when you're looking elsewhere on the screen

i use the following

/stopcasting

/cast greater heal(rank blah)

same hotkey can cancel the cast :)

When healing on my pally is just tap my W key to move forwards a bit, the reason for this is that i can immediately start casting again if needed without having to wait until I land. Its also alot less enoying then jumping.

Forgot to mention that it helps noticably to have a hunter Misdirect the infernals to their tank whenever the cooldown is available. This helps but is not a necessity.
