Clearly looked fake if you looked at the front door windows. Should have blacked all the side/rear window out like K-9 units and put a dummy in there, would have looked more real. Heres an idea, cheap and allot easier. Drop a V6 in it, throw the blow up doll in the trunk and drive the piece of shit out of there. Or better yet, get a cheap junk yard vic, ith a V6 to cut cost, paint it, put dummy lights on it and,,, oh yeah drive it. Saves on gas from having to tow it with that junk yard dodge ram :) JS
um... what about the part breaking into the car, demolishing the lock pin in the shifter column and putting the car in neutral... or jacking up the car, going under and removing the drive shaft. this video is bullshit.

Its not a real car people. they use recycled out of commission cruisers to make a gutted out glorified trailer. It has seats, steering wheel, 4 tires, and the standard light bar with antennas. It weighs around 200 LBS.

Traveling along highway 2 and 9 in Massachusetts last week (Late July 2011), I noticed how every construction zone (and there was ALOT) had a police car sitting with it's flashers on. I thought it was a waste of Tax payers money, but now i know why and what they were. It worked. People in front of me were hitting the brakes, including me too.
That's pretty cool, but he's towing the car wrong. If you are towing a rear-wheel-drive, the rear wheels are supposed to be off the ground. If you are towing a front-wheel-drive, the front wheels are supposed to be off the ground.

For those saying you can't haul a rwd like that get your self a AAA TOWING MANUAL. I'll tow a rwd from the front put it into drive and go slow for a short distance.

So you still have to have another vehical to tow it to the destination, Along with someone to drive the tow vehical. Why not just park a real police car there that is not being used. Umm... Doesn't that wreck the tranny hooking it up like that? What you're supposed to is tow it by the back wheels in that situation and either lock up the front wheels or let it drag. That causes a lot less damage than that method. That method can be very costly.

@SEWegman This is true, unless you disconnect the driveshaft like I had to do when my buddy's serpentine belt went on his tow truck, his is a 1 belt setup so he couldn't even turn his truck on, the real pain was that he still had a car on the wrecker. Had to get my other buddys tow truck to lift it then pull it out from the car and tow it to the repair shop lol what a gong show that night
@bikercc To obtain a police presence while not wasting budget dollars... example... main street though town is 30mph... but is know to have people disobey the speed limit excessively. Instead of having a patrol car waste his time patrolling and parking on this street to slow traffic down, this "fake patrol car" can sit in a spot and do the same thing, leaving the officer to answer the more important calls.

@bikercc To obtain a police presence while not wasting budget dollars... example... main street though town is 30mph... but is know to have people disobey the speed limit excessively. Instead of having a patrol car waste his time patrolling and parking on this street to slow traffic down, this "fake patrol car" can sit in a spot and do the same thing, leaving the officer to answer the more important calls.

@ShenFromTerraTraba yes. typical bureaucratic stupidity. You can use this for nothing and it only fools those from out of town. Instead of trying to "trick" people, cops need to write tickets. write enough tickets, behavior changes.

@ShenFromTerraTraba They use this because it only takes one person to move the decoy from spot to spot, rather than 2 ppl. and they save on the fuel cost too, rather than having to fuel up the decoy. It is real light weight so it wont cost much in towing fuel cost as well.

with the tow dolly he could have saved some time if he rolled the wheel just enough to fold down and clear the bumper on the truck and when he unclips it he wont have wait there to roll it all the way down.
