cool men.. i tried to get to the top speed on my Rs4..i stared from 20 mph till i hit 8000 rpm on fifth gear.. reaching 165 mph..i thought the car was speed limited to 155 mph..maybe on 6th gear and a little more space i could have get to 180 mph.. i dont know..i video taped it but i didnt come out good.. couldnt hold the camera and drive at the same time haha.. RS4 :)))

@VoiTuboUser The limiter is set at 8250 RPM in the RS4, your theory isn't completely true. The redline begin at 8000 RPM just to warn the driver as he prepare for changing up, because the RS4 was sold with a manuel trasmission only.

You don't need 4-wheel drive for dragraces. Big tires and RWD is all you need.

Four wheel drive is great for getting around corners insanely fast, but for dragracing it'll actually slow you down (added weight and drivetrain losses)

what do u mean by that havent u seen races with rs4 and m3? its like on first gear the rs4 owns the m3 badly just coz its rear wheels cant cope up with the torque of the engine, thats where the quattro really helps coz its has two more wheels to put the power thru. nd then the m3 takes over coz of the power it has and is even faster than quattro on a track. so its not really meant for getting around corners that fast

Well, i have to give it to you, it DOES help. However, traction control systems now-a-days are that good, it won't make much of a difference anymore.

Quattro was originally built especially for rallies with tight corners in which the 4-wheel drive system was excellent (look up the Audi Quattro). 4-wheel drive is MADE for taking corners, not acceleration. (Screw some big ass rear-wheel tires on a RWD car is enough for that).

The reason it's faster in the wet is simply because of cornering.

icic, i just tried another brand engine oil and i foud out that the torque is lesser dont know why but i will change it back to Mobil 1 at around 6000KM and see wether its the oil that its making this problem or not
