  • they did use a real bat

    ITS SOOOOO CUTE

  • to those concerned about the bat in the beginning...it's a prop - they wouldn't have used a real bat.

  • @mullyjf you do realize that the bat is moving right? 2:13

  • Chica, could I just call you to get it?

  • Thank God for bats! Without them we would be overrun by mosquitos, and we wouldn't have tequila! Be kind to your local bats.

  • 1:06 you can see the bat wing being mushed between the wall and box. she obviously is not experienced because that must've hurt the bat

  • Getting a bat in your home is obviously not ideal. My GF is a bat biologist and I have watched her catch a few species and handle them. All they really use is rabies shots... and the same gloves your doctor uses. They don't often bit hard enough to get past the surgical glove and it's mostly there to avoid cross contaminating the bats... not to protect the biologist. They can eat their own weight in insects every day... it's worth removing it alive and releasing.

  • How many bats are in her house?

  • @woodbrahm This is a PSA created by Batcon International - Made in their offices NOT a home. This organization works to protect and conserve bats.

  • 1:06 - Try not to maim it in the process of "securing" it...

  • The most funny thing I heard in my life. that too in a video which shows how to remove unwanted bats. at 4.40. "shut the doors to the room so that It can't get out"

  • @zaheerskh Why do you find this comment funny? Do you know any thing about bats and their tendencies? Obviously not... You close the doors to the room to "isolate" them so that you can safely capture them and remove them w/o having to chase them from room to room. Once you isolate them to a room, you can remove them OR open the window in the room (if it has one) to let it escape naturally.

  • Great video. Unfortunately it does not pop up when you search for "catch a bat." People may not think to search for "capture," although it's the more apt word.

  • So that's how you do it. My mom use a towle to move a bat out of the houes.
