The insurance will cover the cost of the surgery, just like most people's private insurance that they pay for now from their paycheck does. There are also coops available that engage in cost sharing, another private alternative. I have family who were uninsured, and could not afford traditional insurance. Their coop. paid for all of their son's bills when he had to stay in the hospital for a few weeks.

In order for a society to thrive it must have useful constructive and working people and a marginal amount of dead wood. People on welfare and all these government programs are sucking the life out of our country. Not only that, but the social security cut is going to remove anyone under 55 from social security altogether with no exemptions. I went to the website and did not see an exemption for those, such as the permanently disabled, who already are on social security but are not 55+. They are banking on the masses not thinking about it or just assuming that S.S would match the medicare/caid exemptions across the field.

So they'll also need a couple of dependable teens, who they can take out of school to stay home and care for their grandparents all day. American households may actually have both sets of grandparents living under the same roof too. Oh, and the "boomers" are now retiring, en-mass. But hey, maybe everyone can finally get that "trickle-down" raise, if the CEO feels like sharing.
