on one hand you can just say because of gameplay the Joker doesn't use smilex. (even wen it will likely not even work on some. some MK characters are gods or even dead)

storywise you could argue that the Joker would play with the tournament idea and wants to win it (assuming its about a tournament) the Joker is one of the most unpredictable characters in comics. how are we even supposed to guess what he would think/do in a situation like this?

Everyone just about share the same moves, Superman and Shazam fights exactly the same as in basic combat moves but damn near everyone else share most pro moves and some fatalities from previous MKs! The combo launchers suck, some characters has the same launchers, the others characters has dumb uppercuts, the air punch they have misses almost every time, rage doesnt look like a rage because they all still fight the same way and they dont show any sign of being pissed as in different animation, a jump kick that connects for some reason makes you pause even when blocked, as if the characters can fuckin fly, sonya has the same moves as wonderwoman, sonya has the same moves as liu kang!

Catwoman has the same moves as liu kang, batman fights exatcly like Shang Tsung and scorpion, Flash has kabals moves, Superman has Sheevas old ass fatality, Kano looks stiff as hell performing his cannonball move and it looks more ridiculous when it hits cause the animation stops and then he lands dumb as fuck. I swear i watched sonya perform a dumb ass liu kang rippoff kick and then she changed direction just because the character ended up behind her! Now how and why would they add that?

Whoa... at ease, young pup. I didn't mention lack of gore; I prefer less gore. But MK characters have always been narrowly developed while DC has some of the most complex characters in history. It's hard to believe that the market-driven MK series can do the DC characters justice. I mean, the Joker alone is a plateful, much less other substantial characters like Batman and Superman. I'm not getting my hopes up so if it's great, then I'm pleasantly surprised, and if it isn't, I'm not too crushed.

I love the Joker in this game but i heard they lowered his fatality because it was over the Teen rating in the U.S. In Europe they left his fatality alone because Teen in Europe is 16+ (with him pulling out the gun to shoot that person in the face.) They lowered several Fatalities in U.S. I hope it is still good though
