I don't know why its such a big deal when a man slaps a woman. Women do it to men all the time, hell sometimes they kick you in the nuts, something which can kill you if enough force is put behind it. There are a lot of blood vessels and nerves down there, and a solid kick, especially in those pointy toed high-heels, can cause major damage. Compared to that, I think a slap is fairly insignificant.
