I stand by my observations of Europeans. In my experience my ethnic groups in USA and Canada have held on to what it means to be of a given ethnic group better than those who remain. Maybe not everything, but a good deal. Too many Europeans are just plain arrogant. They should find it flattering that someone outside of their country feels a connection to their country, no matter how pathetic that country is!

"mac an ri" translates to "son of the king" so King would probably be an anglicized version of the last name.
