  • This is total crap. All of these foods hinder post-recovery and will just spike your cortisol levels higher when your body realizes there is no amino acids getting to the muscles in that first 30 minutes after a workout.

    Video Fail.

  • why the fuck would you take in fat pwo you dumass

  • what food burns out abs fat???

  • I add a high quality whole food protein to my post workout meal. This is the best tasting and most nutritious protein powder you can find.

    miracle-whey-protein dc

  • YAY TUNA ON CRACK !

  • God, that Sarah looks like a real bitch

  • ahem ahem...your post workout meal has to be mainly simple carbs and not complex carbs because you want to restore your glycogin stores. Protein is often out of the question because you can have that later (like 1 hours later or so).

  • Lol how is Cheese good source of protein right after workout? :D Chesse got Casein.

Casein is digesting for 8 HOURS :P

  • id starve

  • fruits should be eaten alone....otherwise, they will ferment.

cheese is from dairy and dairy cows are abused

  • OH! freezing bananas, that's the only thing I took from this video, now...suck my cock ladies.

  • Horrible video, people below me have explained why. I can't believe this has so many views, I feel bad for the people who listened to this. You should take it down so you don't get more people to eat foods that won't help after a workout.

  • lol, she even says you should have proteins and carbs to "refuel your muscles" and then she goes and recommends fats and fibres like cheese, almonds, hummus and peanut butter. thumbs down.

i'd get some proteins and carbs without fat in.

  • sarah looks like rachell roxxx in the picture at the end.... messege me if u agree

  • I think simple low fat carbs (watermelon, rice cakes) are fitting for a POST workout meal, complex carbs (whole grain bread, hard bioled eggs or oatmeal) for pre-workout (for energy).

  • These "meal ideas" are so girly. I'll stick to my 12oz. steaks of marlin and bison burgers.

  • cheese= fat slows down digestion

nuts = fat slows down digestion

tuna crackers = fat + complex carbs

    rolls = complex carb

choclate shake = soya milk which stops the absorbtion of protein + fat

Hey.. great video for a post work out shake (not)

  • @Keeperz1 y dnt u lyk brez of dem ye?

  • @Keeperz1 haha i was thinking the same, whey protein + gatorade > ALL

  • do you just use the tortilla without warming it up before?? does it really taste without doing that?

  • ill just stick with whey protein and fruit or dextrose, nothing beats that

  • Shes like we can make this without a blender and then she pulls out a blender wtf lol

  • THIS.

  • That blender kind of looks like a huge tampon.

    Hhahahhahaa

But I love the ideas, thank you!

  • after lifting wait 30 min then eat a white potatoe wait 5 min then drink whey protein shake.potatoe will spike insulin causing u to restore glycogen and shuttle protein to muscles

  • Can someone tell me if Yoghurt and Berry smoothie is ok to have as a post work out meal??

  • hello im going to start trying to get rippend for this coming summer im gonna lift some weghts and work on my cardio. im a lil over weght im 21 years old im 5'6 and weigh 160 can some one please give me some diet tips for weigh lose and everything i need to help build my muscle like protein stuff and how much to eat. thanks for your help. im a guy BTW LOL

  • @gsrhatch14 you sound like an idiot

  • @gsrhatch14 BTW LOL!

  • forget the scale, focus on inches. eat well cut your 9" plate in half, then 1 half cut in half again. the 1/2 fill with fruits and veggies. then 1/4 with lean protein or non meat protein. the other 1/4 with complex carbs. go for it!

  • Try 5 to 6 small meals. Put some fiber in your meal. Try veges and beans. The fiber will fill you up fast & you WILL stop eating. Hopefully!!!

  • this "nutritionist" knows nothing

  • woa hold on.. how did you come up with under 150 calories for half of that shake recipe?! dont you mean 250?

  • Why did rubyphoenix09 get a thumbs down for that? (S)he is right.

    large banana 135 + 2 T. peanut butter 190 + 1 c. TJs chocolate soy milk 130 = 455 calories / 2 servings = 227.5 calories per serving if shake is halved

  • LOL

  • Well I have just resorted to eating peanut butter out of the jar with a fork...if you think that's mental I already do it with mustard.... >:) ......Sometimes I just like to get one of those pita breads and go too the fridge with my eyes shut and take out whatever I grab and fill the pita bread to the top and just eat it....I don't know what it is it just makes me feel more alive! :D

  • @Averilli1 spoons scoop better

  • how is tuna vegetarian??

  • you need to eat carbs and protian so your body can repair and build muscle

  • an apple will do, loads of water maybe some nuts..

  • this is bullshit you dont need to eat fat (even healthy) like almonds or peanut butter after you workout. all you need is some simple carbs (to make use of your insulin spike) and protein.

  • after work ouyt you need fix muscles fibers, tuna and peanuts have a lot source of protein that can help you to do this.

carbs are a good source of immediately energy and hence that`s why you need before to work out.

  • i eat a can of tuna after my work out

  • tuna has a bit of mercury in them, so prolong diet is not recommended, hence thats why i stopped

  • what food do i eat to lose weight?

  • The only problem with the tuna is that both Bluefin and Yellowfin are red-listed, meaning they're numbers are seriously depleting. Yellowfin I believe is not legal for consumption in the US due to its status of endangered. The Bluefin however is available but is in nearly as much danger.

International research teams predict that within 40 years, there will not be enough sea fish and the international fisheries will collapse entirely. This will be the last century for wild fish consumption.

  • ya we fucked outselves very good the only solution is to start fucking killing off fuckers with weak genetics physical and mental deformites and stop sending any resources to countries that cant support themselves otherwise were just fucking ourselves over and money shouldnt save you in this situation if you have money but your shitty enough that your not contributing thoroughly kill them and take there assets spend it on the worthy

  • Some interesting points, however I don't think many people world would agree to such practises. One of the biggest things we can do at this point is to push for stronger international regulations on fishing. As consumers, we can make a huge impact by staying informed and buying responsibly- after all, it's our $/product-demand that supports detremental fishing practises.

Also, the collapse of an entire market is the last thing world economies can handle. Fishless oceans= jobless fishers.

  • fishless oceans = a lot more problems than just jobless fisherman

no tuna = things that eat it die, the things that eat those things die, the things that eat those things die, the plants those things eat & shit the seeds to grow more, those plants die, and so on & so forth.. it effects the PLANET far worse than it effects us - the stupid human parasites..

  • Oh yes, I'm quite aware of this. However most people don't care unless it directly and immediately affects them. I suppose this means we're just going to go down in history as the A-holes who messed things up.

  • this is true

  • Not quite. We have just become more concious about it now. Previous generations were much better at being those A-holes. Hopefully, our generation is when things started to change for the better.

  • Yeah also if bees died man would only have 4 more years to live... :(

So bees and tuna very important lol

  • I love to use my magic bullet to make all kinds of healthy smoothies

  • Why was this video taken down? Wait, let me guess....WMG has copyright issues on dessert now....(j/k)

Seriously, can you put it back up?

  • we didn't mean to take it down, we're trying to figure out what's going on.

  • what? why is it no longer available?

  • Seriously!!!

  • we didn't mean to take it down, it's not our fault - i don't think - but hopefully it'll be up soon! we apologize for any inconvenience.

  • what?!? WHY?!? I want to watch this vdeo

  • meeee toooo

  • why was this video taken down? I can't watch it!

  • Yes, I wanted to see this video too!

  • Thank you! I started working out last week and didn't know the best snacks post-workout, so this was a big help. I trully enjoy your videos.

  • hahha a cheese stick and some peas? YOU NEED PROTEIN N*GGA. and peanut but and chocolate? are you kidding me

  • cheese is protein

  • most of our viewers are also exercising to lose weight - so keep that in mind if you are following a bodybuilding diet.

  • O MY GOODNESS this dessert idea at the end FANTASITIC! it looks sooo good! I also like, Sarah how you are adding the sidebar comments during the video very helpful! THX DIETHEATLH for another great vid!

  • A good point, that should have been noted in the video.

But, how do you replenish empty glycogen levels with cheese and peas? Where are the quick digesting simple carbs?

If you are a dietetian, you should know better than to comply with general consensus - that sugar is bad for you (natural sugar i mean). You should remake that video, with some facts. Just saying...

  • Cheese and Peanut butter both have plenty of protein, especially for post workout.

  • thnx since the video is no longer available ill take your advice ;-)

  • We didn't take it down! We are trying to get it figured out now with YouTube.

  • omg, they make chocolate soy milk.

    THANK YOU JESUS!!!

  • is peanut butter good for you?????

  • yes, esp if you go to a store like Whole foods, and make it yourself. There will be nothing added to it. It's a good source of protein and good fat. Just make sure you only eat 2 tablespoons of it per serving, I like to have my peanut butter with veggies or sliced apples. Yum!

  • Also try almond butter! It's good to have variety in your diet.

  • Ugh, same here. :/

  • You're going to need more protein post workout.

  • these are great ideas i always feel hungry a while after my workout and don't know what i should eat without all the calories.

    Thanks!

  • love the idea of peanut butter in the smoothie! the hummus tortilla wrap is another fav. great job guys!

    and thanks again sarah =)

  • Total macronutrients consumed throughout the day is FAR more important then situational consumption. Any decent pre-workout meal will keep the insulin levels high enough to not need a post workout meal/shake.

  • I totally thought that the blender thing was gonna spew outa the cup!!! neat little tool.

It's always funny adjusting the amounts for my cal intake, cause I consume about 400cal immediately post workout, then 1k more about 40 mins later(the time it takes to get home, shower, and make the food).

Post workout and and your 2nd morning meal should be the biggest IMHO.

PWO shake: frozen mixed berries+protein powder+water+superfood

  • I've never tried horseradish flavored hummus. It sounds good...

  • she didnt add the peanut butter!!

  • Yes she did. She says that's what you need and you can see it when it cuts back in. Haha I almost missed it too.

  • yummy! thanks for the recipes!

  • those look yummy im gonna try it!!

  • Thanks for this video, it is very helpful!!

I used to hate eating after exercise but eventually I learned you have to restore your glycogen! Now I need to go make that smoothie....

  • yummy

  • that shake looks really good!!! I cant wait to try it.

  • mmmmmmmmm

  • Thanks

  • I love this channel because every thing truly helps , and it shows results if you follow it properly.
