So inactive volcanoes gives him a damage buff in phase 2? Cause my 10man group maybe walk him over 2 or 3 by accident at most and we always insta wipe after the stomp in phase 2. We tried lusting and using heal CDs before phase change and that didnt work, and we tried after phase change. Something we're doing wrong or was it really the volcanoes? :(

Is it just me, or does Rhyolith seem to turn a lot faster in 25-man? I've spent a lot of time watching him turn in 10-man, and we have to have his turn bar nearly full to get him turning like that. Two nights of consistent terrible volcano spawns caused us to give up on him, and have a crack at Shannox before the raid was over, which we ended up two-shotting.

tbh Jesse, no offence but it seems like you got pretty lucky with some volcano-activations. This fight is pretty luck based since if you're over on one end of the platform stomping a volcano and 2 more spawn at two different places way on the other side of the platform, you're going to take some heavy damage.

Our raid worked on this last night for 3 hrs. his active volcanoes were spawning so randomly and far apart we couldnt get the stacks off of us. And once we got him to 25% and he didnt phase change. Had him to 23% and he still had his armor on.

@xfriedeyedx He won't phase at 25 percent unless you have melted off all stacks of his armor. You need to have him run over volcanoes until his armor is reduced to 0 percent, then you can burn him down extremely easily.
