hey adam i was wondering can you use this effect without using ultrabeat? say i want to use my sounds from native maschine can i still sidechain it to a lead synth and have the same effect or do i have to do something extra? thanks your videos help beginner producers like me learn techniques i would have to pay and travel to learn :D
@MrNhienLe yes you can! that is what is so good about side chaining all you have to do is send out the audio via a bus and bring in on a compressor on the track that you want to control... Let me know if that asnwers your questions..
hey man love tha stuff any way you can do a tutorial on that poppy synth sounds from club house songs artist like klass use it alot ive been trying to find the sound forever
Is there any way you could do this to an mp3? I want to get the song have the pulse, but everytime i use the kick to get the pulse, I have the kick drum signal coming through. I tried putting the kick to "No Output" and tried turning off the sequencer in Ultrabeat. Any ideas?
cheers adam. i am finding your videos so helpful lately. easy, concise and fluid. keep doing what you're doing as i'm sure its helping plenty of people like myself explore and release creativity. it's soulful shit dude. many thanks...
Thanks for sharing your tricks of the trade. Just a quick question, do happen to know what synth is used on Brittney's Hold it against me track? It is absolutely monsterous and mechanical sounding! Thanks in advance, Rich.
Hi mate. Been watching your tutorials for the last two days. I am a logic tutor as well. I noticed when you are changing the limiter level on your compressor in this tutorial that you haven't turned the limiter on. The limiter won't do anything in the logic compressor if it isn't activated.
Great tutorial though. New music producers need people like you to help them develop their skill.
Wow, now this is impressive how easy it turns out to be! I've always wondered how to get these kinds of sounds, I'll dig in and try it from scratch. Thanks a lot, man, once again, very clear!
I heard that Britney record last week sssssss I don't know imam, I'm not crazy about that record The pumping side chain trick is definitely in your face on that song.
Hey adam thanks for your videos. I finished my album tracks. Check my channel out on my youtube page. You helped me out a lot. First time recording logic express. The recordings are all me. Thanx
Thanks man your awesome. Say I had a question. Could you use this for hip hop, like instead of the synth maybe it would be deep sub bass. Because sometimes layering the bass with the kick sounds like shit. Most of the time I just create a sub bass kick in ultrabeat. But I was wondering if this same technique could work to punch the kick through the bass. Peace
hey this was great thanks. If the synth i want to pulse has reverb or delay on it, how can I get the effect to pulsate as well? Thanks!

I'm getting some weird delay thing with the effect. It starts off in rhythm but as the loop goes on there's something going wrong with it.

When I do this, I will take out the bus output. Some mention side chain compression. Just one layman word- ducking.XP
