  • unincideal, you lost the arguement. just be quit. im just trying to help you escape. the internals on the ge can take alot of beating and 10psi my friend, your thinking honda! its proven 20+pounds of boost on bone stock ge internals with the right fuel feed arp bolts and gte metal head gasket. search around supra and sc forums. the internals in the ge is forged, not just plain old cast stuff. like the gte, rods are the weak point after 750 plus hp. you know how much psi makes that hp? 25+

  • that is not correct. the US version comes with the 2JZ-GE, the jap version had the 1JZ-GTE, both the US and jap v8s shared the 1UZ-FE. some of the cars in this vid has swapped in the 2JZ-GTE from the toyota supra turbo.

  • the sc300's come with a 1jz or 1jz gte which is the 2.5l straight six , and the sc400's come with 1uz-fe the 4.0l v8

  • you will destroy the engine if you boost past 10 psi, the 2jz-gte has a lower compression ratio, a thicker head gasket will help, but low compression pistons, larger cam lobe, and fortified rods will be needed

  • Regular GE compression is 9.5:1, GTE is 8.5:1 VVTI is the only one with 10.5:1.... And they're all able to take 15 psi with ease for years. i boosted my vvti for 1.5 years on 14 psi before i switched to GTE to increase the boost. Please dont spread wrong info, and verify everything u hear.

  • not really, its all in what your goals are. this car has since gone to a singe 5 inch exhaust if memory serves.
