lyircly speaking manyard has layne beat , vocaly cpeaking i think they are pretty even. manyard has kind os a soothiong voice(like in APC) and layne has a haunting voice.

I would have to call it apples and oranges. Layne tries to evoke a certain mood or emotion. While Maynard tries to portray an idea or observation. They both kick ass as singers and songwriters but I can't say, for myslef, that one is better than the other. They just have different styles thats all.

The vid quality was good enough for me and your exaggerating it sounds well enough. And your downing Tool lol? This is one of the more creative bands yes they may have lengthy songs but they don't get pretentious or showy like some one hit wonder songs on the radio that sound more like saturday mourning cartoon jingles. Tool is a very creative and inspiriational band for many today.

The part I admire the most about them is the melodies that seem to take on middle earsten style at times and all the great unique riffs going into this band aswell as Maynard's voice and personality put into it. I am not so much into learning the exact meaning for Tools crypic songs but the sound alone is great. If you dislike this band what good rock/metal could you like go remove the dick from your ass to give an opinion with some though to it or go to something on your level. Try the wiggles.
