It was a tiger muskie, first the back 3 fins all had dots, not strips and the fin is more pointed where the northerns are more rounded.

that is so awesome. I caught a 30" on Saturday actually. Biggest fish I ever caught. I was fishing for trout and this beast grabbed my line!
