Oh, it's so good to see it the way it was originally! Usually this ballet has been done with different choreographers. Petipas was the first one.

@Flutist11. Most certainly this is not the way Petipa originally staged and choreographed it, although it is probably closer than other versions out there. As for the story/libretto, we don't know what Pashkova had in mind because her original papers have been lost.

Oh, thank you so much!!! My favorite ballet! The music is so beautiful and the dancing is wonderful too. Didn't Obraztsova dance it away from the Mariinsky? Hopefully she will get a chance at the Mariinsky.

When was this recorded? I love the production of Raymonda though I wish Sergyev hadn't gotten rid of the White Lady (especially when Glazunov uses a leitmotiv for her throughout). I also wish someone woudl consider doing a reconstruction fo the 98 original--maybe the bolshoi now will?
