  • @PercussionPlease In the music, there is a flam for the timpanist. Hence why it sounds "early"

  • Everything is GORGEOUS! but at 2:11 why the bell player looks so uncertain...?? That spot is the best chance to literally show-off his "hitting" technique...

  • OUT-STAN-DING!!! AWESOME!!

  • I love it.

  • Awesome!

  • I am speechless !!!Brilliant! I would kill to be able to play as good as you!

  • Rock the house!!!!!!!!

  • BREATHLESS

  • blown away by the Berliner and Gerviev!

  • Bravo!

  • Fantastic!

  • Principal Flute's massive breath at 1:53 wow.

  • now that´s a bell right

  • Congratulations Sir Gergiev and Berliner Philharmoniker. Bravíssimo!!

  • bravísimo!!!!!

  • I was actually in attendance for this concert. December 22, 2010. It was phenomenal! To see both Gergiev and the Berliner Philharmoniker in the same venue was almost too much. The only thing that could've topped that experience, would be Karajan's ghost to appear and conduct along side Gergiev. Bravo!!!

  • THIS ALL IS GOD!!

  • Once again blown away by Berlin

  • The climax at 1:45 is done correctly with the appropriate amount of grandeur...bravo!

  • @iczerman Thank goodness, imagine if they'd used too much grandeur!

  • @atomicmrpelly

Just like I said...the amount of grandeur is juuuust right!!!! LOL LOL

  • AWESOME!!

  • I have watched it now the 7th time and could watch again ~30x. Everytime I find out something new. The perfect but uncertain looking cymbalist, the cellist at the last stand using the whole bow in 0,005s, outstanding musicians giving everything (i.e. Pahut, Braunstein, Ivic...). Great!

  • EXCELENTE

  • @tartinitrumpet what was wrong with the cymbals?

  • gorgeous cymbals!

  • everything was going fine until cymbals :(

  • @tartinitrumpet ????? that is some fine cymbal playing

  • @tartinitrumpet I am a percussionist. Please explain to me what was so bad about them. From a percussionist's perspective that was perfectly executed. It had a broad, full, projecting sound. It slightly anticipated the downbeat using the slower response of the cymbals to make sure the overall was not shrill or jarring. This is the work of a professional.

  • O Lawdy, that was fine.

  • Gnomus!

  • Simplemente genial. Gracias y Saludos desde México.

  • Fabulous orchestration brilliantly executed!

  • This is an absolute joy of a piece and arrangement, especially if you can see it live. I recommend everyone should go see it if they ever have the chance. :)

  • Gergiev is the best!

  • Thank you Mussorgsky and Ravel!

  • @mzoli1222

    And Berliner Philharmoniker

  • great!

  • Very nice video! Just one thing: the description on the video is wrong...It's Mussorgsky, and not Edvard Grieg! But I know you guys know that for sure! :) Keep up the good uploads :D

  • @Tokushimaz They got the info right. I don't see any problems.

  • @gera1262 Believe me, they didn't before ;) But they changed it.
