@Misslotusification And here I thought I was the only one who liked this song. The guitar riff is epic. Hellhammer's good also, but not as good as this.
I really like the guitars but Accept has alwaýs been at their best with a stonecruching voice, like Udo or lately with Mark. Still enjoy them here though I hold Restless And Wild as their best album. The introsong and finalsong at that album are the best ITW!
I really like this song, and the whole album is pretty good. David Reece kinda reminds me of older Judas Priest, with a mix of Back In Black era Brian Johnson. I really like it. Thanks for posting.
This track has the coolest intro ever. I transcribed the lead guitar so I could play it and feel how nice it is to have that power coming out of my amp. Thanks for posting this.
I thought David Reece was a bad singer because people apparently did not like him too much as Accept's vocalist, but until I first herd him from listening to this awesome song, ee is not bad at all!! Awesome bass tunage!
This was a decent enough album but didn't really feel like an Accept album to me without Udo on vocals. Bands in the late 80s seemed to start adopting an American sound/look to get into that market; notably , Priest, Celtic Frost and Accept.
this whole album was great you people probably think that its a little too commercial from the original accept ! Ill this album is fucking great ! all the songs I can relate too and everybody has their own opinion !
Indeed! Accept actually did this one Live during the 'Objection Overruled' tour in 1993, w. Udo on vocals too, to sort of represent the 'Eat The Heat' album in their set.
That happens to be one of my favorite songs right next to Bound To Fail, Midnight Mover, and Balls To The Wall. Also I like Russian Roulette, TV War, Hellhammer, Dogs On Leads; and Generation Clash 1 and 2.
do you know where to find the tab to this song? the only thing I could ever find is just the first part of the intro, but nothing more. I'm not good enough in playing the guitar to play it without the tab, but love the song... thx in advance
@cubby3o5 but no clip available on Youtube? Jeeez, can we still get that cd, coz there was another very great song on it... dont remember the name of the track :-(
Marius, you hit the nail on the head, everyone has an opinion. A few of my mates loved Balls to the Wall and although I thought it was OK, Breaker and Restless still live in my top metal albums over the past 30 years! Accept are also by far the best support I've seen with Priest in 1981, even the Iron's who supported Priest a year earlier, didn't come close! Thanks for the post.
Accept had undergone a lot of changes by this time: they'd lost Udo and Joerg and CBS was pressuring them to make a more commercially-viable product. It was a different band than the one that recorded "Restless and Wild". I think that, if you listen to "Eat the Heat"-era Accept in the context of a '80s hard rock record without the expectations and preconceptions of what "classic Accept" sounds like, it fairs much better.
@tyrant1505 I agree! This song is classic Accept. I prefer the version recorded by U.D.O. for the 'Tribute To Accept Vol.2' album though. 'Generation Clash' and 'Prisoner' are fairly good songs too, but this one is class.
Accept without Udo are not Accept. Where is the german shouting wickedness?
