  • lol those dell monitors had thick boarders and wtf was an xbox doing in the back ground

  • @XXXSnIpErXXXJD AMD's gpu is in the XBOX360

  • i can say just " cool "

  • Must be crap playing with the borders of the monitors getting in your way

  • in this demo we want to look at the center of the view, which is not there since there is a monitor edge

  • for gaming, no thanks, the gaps between the displays would be too much of a draw back. Hawever, do the same with edgeless, screens and I'm in!

  • @sloosh6000

They have bezel compensation, in which the areas displayed are spaced apart by a few invisible pixels to compensate. I'd be more worried that in the case of an even number of screens in either direction, a first-person shooter would have the crosshairs RIGHT between the two monitors!

  • @Thisismyrofl I'd guess have an odd number, but not stacked like in the video, unless there were three in a column, that would be pretty cool.

  • i use nvidia BIatch

  • Why not just get a 50" tv? :/

  • @MrFreebrowsing Resolution.

  • @MrFreebrowsing A 50" tv can only be 1920x1080

  • @confusioncaption even tho this is pretty nice, i rather have a FULL screen than thos annoying bars... maybie a company should try developing a monitor that can handle that RES...

  • Any Fast Streaming with that? Thats a High Resolution whats the FrapsV3.3 Check on that?more FreeWare and Freescaling it seems?

  • how retarded. make bigger or borderless screens.

  • He sounds like dane cook

  • If I ever buy this amount of screens, I will buy 9 so that the crosshair is on the center of the middle screen, instead of on a seam

  • i don't like the frames between the screens .. this setup has to be seamless

  • for what?? 1 MONITOR CAN PLAY BETTER THAN 6 MONITOR

  • Expensive

  • if i become a computer engineer;or anything involving computers; do i have to tuck in my shirt?

  • HAWX 1

  • Haha, I use 3 22" monitors, and upload game recordings, check it out ;)

  • No my profile 2monitor ATI Eyefinity

  • This guy makes me embarrassed to be an AMD fan/

  • Here's a Perfectly Working, Cheaper and Better Solution-- USE A PROJECTOR!!!!!

  • @Ishmum123456 Nope. If the point of this was to have a bigger screen you could just by a huge HD tv and it would look better than a projector. The setup here is for giving you a sort of peripheral vision within the game. Also I don't think money is a concern for the people that would consider a set up like this.

  • @xynth101088 thanks for being friendly and showing me the point of this!!!!! I was expecting you to flame me lol youtube is full of haters/flamers!!

  • porn must be awesome on the eyefinity. cliphunter here we come

  • Oh no the world is running out of resources. I know let's turn on more monitors!

  • FUCK NVIDIOTS......AMD IT'S A BEAST, NO COMPARISSON WITH NVIDIOTS.

  • @odracir1986 Yea... That's why there is no AMD single card better than the GTX 580... Honestly, I am not an Nvidia fanboy, but you're trolling hard on that one.

  • @Darkteammadfiz Hahahaha Yes....Try with AMD RADEON HD 6990 4 GB DDR5 video memory......There's no other single card better like this. I'm proud to be an AMD RADEON USER XD!

  • @odracir1986 I hope you're trolling... It isn't even a single card, it's a dual graphics card... Actually if you really want to compare it, compare atleast the GTX 580 with the HD 6970. Or even better, the GTX 590 vs the HD 6990. And the 6990 is loud, maybe too loud IMO...

  • @Darkteammadfiz Search in youtube by "AMD RADEON HD 6990" and you will see that Nvidia, it's too much loudly. I'm HAPPY WITH AMD RADEON ;) thanks!

  • @odracir1986 Lolwut? First, I say it's loud, I've heard it and yes it's loud according to motherboardsorg, Hd 6990 is comparable with the GTX 590 and the real competitor for AMD of the GTX 580 is the HD 6970, AMD's fastest single card (single card is not the HD 6990, it's a dual graphics card). So please... ¬¬

  • would'nt a 40inch tv be cheaper and better?

  • @ht448

Would definitely be cheaper, and without those annoying bezels, but for eyefinity the fact that the monitors curve around you shows the view more realistically rather than one large flat panel.

Not worth it for me, but for the people already putting 1000's into that's what they want.

  • I remember when I got Top Gun for the NES. Goddamn aircraft carrier landing!

  • OMFG!!! are kiding me 6 screens???

  • just wait until they release the flexible oled screens. then you will really get a surround/immersive screen

  • unless they create a new 2 in 1 display monitor FPS gamers will forever be using 3 monitor setup. 6 monitors is cool but most rpgs and fps are focused around the center of the images being used. having those 3 inch spacer lined inbetween monitors ruins this for us gamers. very nice tech but ill be going with 3 monitors instead of 6

  • So many bezels, so little time.

  • Pointless

  • Ya I gotta say 2x3 setup is not ideal for gaming, You cant see center of screen cause of bezels for monitors. Granted for productivity this is great.

  • LOL theres a whole line in the middle (1-2 inches) thats a let down.

  • (2/2)Unless you are running an airport flight schedule and surveillance system

(in this case, you would need a highly complex matrix controller/system that would have to output to hundreds or thousands of display screens), you really are in no position to bash ATI's technology.

Sidenote: I'm not a fanboy. I use an EVGA (Fermi) Nvidia GTS 450. I would've easily purchased an AMD, if it weren't for the rare $80 sale price of the Nvidia.

Get what suits you. Don't bash what you don't understand.

  • (1/2)

So what if there are bezels? Some people here are missing the fact that this has a purpose outside of gaming.

If you are running multiple productivity applications/ analyzing and comparing graphs and data from multiple windows, you would only use one application per-monitor anyway.

Besides, as technology gets cheaper, and bezel-less (or very thinly framed)

monitors come down in price, it only gets better.

For multiple monitors, Nvidia and Matrox can't compete at this price range.

  • Haha looks like shit because of the borders. All I was thinking was "Borders. Frames." Lol. The tech is nice and it's not ATI's fault but atm, this is effin useless.

  • if only he could remove those lcd border,if that is the case,i'm quite impressed

  • Yeah, that's exactly how I want to play my games, with 2" worth of plastic between everything.

    You ATI fanboys enjoy.

  • @RalphCQ ATI and Nvidia both have bezels, when your playing it you really dont notice it that much

  • @kingdom9214 I did hear a while back that they were gonna make bezel-less monitors, but I guess they forgot.

The video with the multiple projectors w. eyefinity was pretty impressive, btw.

  • @RalphCQ ya theres a few moded frames you can buy depending on your monitor

  • thats stupid ..what abt borders of the monitor wont it interfere with my gaming expereience ..

I am not an nvidia fanboy ..but they just know what ppl want ..3d vision is one such a technology ..the guys at ati ..just want to have a new tech up and running so they can just showcase and market it. The eyefinity is just the sort of trash technology ati produces..

What i recommend ...have a real hardcore gamer sit in on your meetings..

And simply ask him what he wud expect from a gpu

  • I'd rather have a 5760x2400 60" monitor. -.-

  • I thought manufacturers were going to make smaller bezel monitors?

  • this guy talks funny

  • NVIDIA IS BETTER THAN AMD

(lets see how much replies im gonna get with this)

  • @gijsjeradijsje10 Don't you mean ATI?

  • Just get screens that have less edges on the side :$

  • couldn't you remove the edges a bit more smoothly of the screen?

  • thats great. Would it work on Ubuntu?

  • @caiolagana jajaja stupid

  • Comment removed

  • hey guys this is a great website that shows reviews on many top-of-the line computer components please visit computerbuilding(dot)webs(dot)com

  • ill just stick to my 29inch hd 1080p easier for me aiming =p

  • you could remove the bezel

  • Folks who think LCD tvs and projectors can match this, they're seriously mistaken. TVs can probably never match the response times needed by games that monitors offer, and whatever the screen size may be they just can't give a higher resolution than 1080...

  • For games like these (racing games too) it makes sense to use an odd number of monitors for an unhindered view. Stacking em up vertically gives a much more balanced resolution of 3240x1920 with 3 monitors. I believe samsung has come out with seamless LCDs, gotta check them out.

  • You get used to the gaps after a while.

  • Can you guys please stop replying to that post?

  • Ok. Weird question... the Gigabyte card I got only has 1 display port instead of 2. I got it maybe 4 months ago. I still need to buy a second card before I buy the rest of the monitors but should I go ahead and trash the card I have now and get the new ones with 2 display ports? I have no idea what kind of setup I need to have with only 1 display Port per card.

here is the model number. GV-R685OC-1GD

  • But can it run crysis?

  • game freak

  • so over 3d bullshit

  • @ChiggsPCtech Have you ever seen a 60inch LCD TV? Have you ever played games with it? It looks just like this, except there's none of those stupid lines in between the monitors.

  • @TheMugenFox it really doesnt. not graphically at least this has three times the vertical res. and twice the horizontal res. as the HD 60" LCD TV.

this setup would be much better with borderless monitors or monitors with smaller borders

  • What happen when the crosshair is in between the screen

  • @YJH1995 we see the monitor bodies..but those gaps do not exist in the computer so the crosshair will never be inbetween the screens

  • in my opinion, 6 screens at 2400p is better than one screen at 1080p (more detail, dumbfucks)

  • a 60inch 3DTV is much, much better, and probably cheaper

  • @TheMugenFox But the resolution of 60" is only 1080p, I think the eyefinity is after the resolution.

  • Look at how retarded I am, I'm going to use an even number of screens to make sure my crosshair is on the fucking edge of the monitor.

  • 6 monitors looks fancy but it means you have a seam through the all important center. It's the same reason why no one games on two monitors. Three works just fine.

  • anyone says a big screen or a projector is better is an idiot.

i would go on to explaining why, but why bother?

  • they want to sell all the screens on the markets with this idiot idea

i'd rather buy a big screen rather than the borders on the edges of the screens

  • He sounds like Dane Cook** Wtf is up with youtube autocorrection.....

  • He sounds like Dance Cook*

  • He sounds like Dance Cook :)

  • please use joistick playing with planes

  • lol,guys go buy a FULL HD 40'' TV.....what a waste of money......you need more gpu's and more screens....just buy a f**cking tv

  • Pros: The resolution of each screen to make a super sized ultra hdtv = awesome

Cons: big black bars between the screens ruins the eyecandy

  • It could be a lot better to just make a type of 3 or 6 lcd panel frame where we could just buy and plug in the panels of our choice. Of course the panels should have no frames at least not so thick. The gaps and thick monitor frames bug me to hell. Like this you can't even align them straight.

  • @artifiz They do have monitors with very thin frames just for that. I was looking into them long time ago but they were priced at like 400 a piece.

  • everyone, gaming on TV is horrible! if you have a 50" tv with 1080p then it's really horrible resolution per inch. I use a 24" with the same resolution, and that is half the size! this is 2400p on what is 50" ish size all together, which makes this the same resolution per inch as my 24", and that makes it so fucking awesome!

  • If you do this you need frameless monitors... its like your playing a games through a huge fcking window..

  • just play on a large tv instead?

  • @NezkiHD You wouldn't get the same resolution as this. Most tvs go up to 1080p, this is 2400p

  • @combatdstar then make a six screened single screen, meaning take all the six screens out of the monitor cases and lay them withing a pixel of the next set of screen. or just make one screen with huge ass rez, the gaps suck and are just a lack of demand for a screen with a 5760x2400 rez

  • @combatdstar how about a projector wud that work

  • @paulthecoolest No, that still isn't the same resolution. It's going to have way less clarity and detail compared to the six monitors.

  • @combatdstar

the 1080 p is pixels per square inch, not resolution. D3RP.

  • @codeythesilent No, 1080p is 1080 horizontal lines of pixels and it is progressive scan. A 55" 1080p tv has alot less pixels per inch than a 27" 1080p tv.

  • @neelybd

Actually, it's VERTICAL lines not horizontal. 1080p resolution is 1920 wide x 1080 high.

  • @codeythesilent lol you're an idiot.

  • @wakeupitshere

    derpety derpy derp, douche bag.

  • Yes we get it the gaps kill it , buy a projector blah blah blah shut up!

This is technology testing in monitors if you want eyefinity without gaps go buy your damn projector and pls shut up.

  • no simulation machine is going to have screen borders. You would be better off making a mini imax screen

  • Really dont like Efinity idea..I rather play on a projector..HOnestly, monitor side panels really disturbs my gaming!

  • why would i want to have a 50 inch screen 3 feet from my face

you cant even see the pixels on a 1080p display from 5 feet away

  • @Jsilverstreak Its all about the field of view and surrounding your vision within the game experience. That said, i wouldn't use multiple monitors like that, maybe with one big center monitor, but now ive got a 46" 3D TV 3' from my face and i love it. I come from a 2560x1600 30" and a 1920x1200 17" laptop, so i know what im missing and i still love the 3D with the lower resolution.

  • i think ill stick to my 4k 3d

75 inch 3d tv when it comes out later this year

  • why does noone seem to care about the INCH WIDE BORDERS CRISS CROSSING THE SCREEN!

  • i think this is one big reason why i would never do a Eyefinity setup the gaps is what bugs me the most can't stand it.

  • why not... oh i dont know... Um .. just get a 55in screen??

  • everybody crying bcuz of the bars but if you play a ggame your focused and the bars will disappear i have a 3 screen setup and when i play i dont even notice them i cant say how many times eyefinity saved my ass in battlefield bad company 2

  • I hate the gaps. Its pointless to me. Someone should develop a high resolution screen that is flexible. It can be done- it would involve making the screen out of connected pixels that were therefor flexible... Now, if i wanted an immersive experience, Imagine being able to create a stretched sphere around you......... Eve would never be the same.

  • i have 64inch plasma tv and complete massive surround system which truly awesome for my ps3. i was just planning to do this on my desktop.

  • Just buy a single 100" screen with that resolution. No silly bars. Problem solved.

  • @Morphadr0n hhaah you're pathetic

  • I like more a 30'' inch screen...

  • is this a software, what the picture bring in 3d ? ? ?

  • will 3d work with ati card?

  • @darkspl lol

  • Aspect ratio is less if you only have 1 big monitor. There are very thin bezel monitors, but they cost a lot lot lot more.

  • the gaps bug me. Couldn't you just make one big screen? I know it would cost more but wouldn't it be easier?

  • @dinosaurus1337 thats what i was thinking lol looks kind of stupid with 6 of them.. one big one would be nice for games and movies

  • @dinosaurus1337 cost for that much resolution in one monitor would be astronomical, about 90,000 plus. can you afford that much?

  • @dinosaurus1337 they just need to create a monitor has has no junk on the sides

  • @dinosaurus1337 lol just go to the store and buy you an 52 '' LED TV with input for pc ;) it do exacly the same buddy !

  • @Fayner4 as far as I know, a TV has a lower resolution. So I'd be better with a couple monitors on my own :\

  • @ThatDrunkGuru lol if you have an old tv , obviously yes hehe , juste take a new 3d LED TV its gonna be better ;)

  • @Fayner4 hehe

  • @dinosaurus1337 i tried once at a convention, YES the gaps disorient me

  • @dinosaurus1337 gaming monitors can do that

  • @dinosaurus1337 there are tvs that are 4k and 3d

    thats around 7000x4000

    there a few thousand though

  • @dinosaurus1337 I think your right. but the only reason the gaps have to be their is i think because then you get "panaramic display" so you can see more then just like say 90* Angels... you know my friend has a set up with mini HD. and he can see almost 360 he see's 270 degree so it makes sneak attacks from behind almost limitless haha but yeah sorry for spelling tired off to bed!

  • @dinosaurus1337 Agreed on that, but the only advantage of having all 6 monitors is that the pixels of each monitor wont be as stretched as the pixels of one single large monitor.

Still, I think the gaps kill it.

  • @dinosaurus1337 You'd think so, and that was my idea. I wanted the same results of this setup with a 120" projector, wrong! If you have a 1920x1080 and want to mimic a setup with three 16:9 monitors in landscape setup (48:9 total aspect ratio). To get the 48:9 ratio, you'd have to sacrifice 720 of your projector's vertical pixels and run at 1920x360. At 1920x360, your 120" projection would be 118" x 22" at 16 pixels per inch (PPI). Big loss there so either dual projectors or this.

  • @dinosaurus1337 There are screens like that, they are VERY expensive.

  • @lillhonken monitors* blah!

  • @dinosaurus1337 If it was one big screen, you'd be missing out on the high resolution that Eyefinity provides.

  • @dinosaurus1337 not possible right now

  • @dinosaurus1337 you dont get that resolution with one big screen.

  • @dinosaurus1337 .... no.. i can't be effed explaining... but no.. one big screen wouldn't display anywhere near as much.. its about resolution... go look it up.

  • @dinosaurus1337 you could just get 6 monitors without a frame

  • @dinosaurus1337 the gaps are freaking annoying. And the monitors aren't even in this video. A big 4K TV would be 100 times better than this crap.

  • @dinosaurus1337

easier in what sense? carring it around?

  • @dinosaurus1337 132 CM LCD ^^ the best is SHARP

  • @dinosaurus1337 er u just dnt get it retard, the gaps are amazing and u too poor so gd luck loser

  • @humsposemofo QUIT YOUR TROLLIN, BOY! DONT MAKE ME GO OVER THERE AGAIN!

  • @dinosaurus1337 One thing that AMD did recently, you may have seen on newegg is that they used HD projectors instead of screens which produces a seamless view. It was amazing.

  • Ok,now make it one giant screen.

  • soooooooo many wrong comments. Agreed the border of the screen as in the physical object IS in the way for that I dislike. HOWEVER comments like "if sniper behind border..." is wrong, the screen is split exactly, so where one row of pixels ends the next row starts on the screen below. There is never a time that a section of the screen is "hidden" in anyway.

  • whats 3D about this?! all 2D?!

  • With Eyefinity I can enjoy doing what I love most at the same time:

fapping and COD (but not fapping over COD)

  • need to find monitors with a thin edge

  • i actually never try it but i think when you start playing you will forgot about the black in the middle. Moreover, i like the curving of those monitors , you just feel you are inside the game. but i still won't buy six monitors. i will just use my sharp lcd 40" tv.

  • ye the borders of the screens ruin it

  • 1 word...."BEAST"

  • This in my opinion is the dumbest idea ever, sure the high res is cool and gives you bragging rights and all but you're playing with a bunch of black shit in the way. I can see that causing many issues when gaming, I mean you'd have snipers in an FPS behind one of the borders and you wouldn't see him and just no, it would not be a pleasant gaming experience.

  • I don't see the attraction to an obstructed view and wouldn't spend my hard earned money on this technology. I'll stick with my 60 inch plasma!

  • lol ya really just get a projector nub your a dumb ass for buying that many montiors and haveing that many Fin borders

  • Just give me the 6 projectors and ill be good. that solves the black borders in the middle.

  • Instead of making one big screen, they decided to stack up 6 and have borders in the middle. really take the technology that makes it look good and have on giant screen?

  • you would think that if they can do panoramic visuals, they could remove the panels from the frames and have virtually borderless multi screen,,, its not that hard to run a lcd panel frameless.. oh well.. c'mon guys.. try it out.. thanks

  • five thousand!

  • Dude's creepy.

  • or you could have one big tv

  • The problem is when you have even number of monitors (like 2, 4, 6, etc) because the crosshair is right in the black border.

Uneven amount of monitors is better (3, 9) because you can keep the crosshair centered in the middle monitor, and use the rest just for panoramic vision.

    That being said, where's the 3D ?

  • a 4K projector or single screen would be better.

  • why no beamer??`

  • It's the black boarders. I wouldn't want that even if I could have it.

  • I'll keep my Nintendo 64

  • I would rather play with projector...
