something i like about this one is there was no real animosity between the two fighters,even at the end rocky tell mason hes a "great champion"there was already enough internal conflict to carry the story.clubber lang with his menace and antagonism worked perfect for rocky 3 but this was a different kind of movie

She co-starred in the biggest blockbuster films as Rocky & Al Pacino's sister in the Godfather l 2 & 3.

The story of how Stallone wrote Rocky and was rejected by all the studios, having to sell his dog (yep, Butkus!) and then getting accepted by United Artists and buying his dog back is a legend in itself! :)

Yeah, I'm glad they chose the ending they did too. Rocky HAS lost before, granted, he won MOST of the time, but he DID lose here and there.

Granted, I've grown up around "Rocky" since I was 2 when the first one came out, so it's been a part of my whole life, really.

If you bought the "Rocky" boxset, there is an alternate ending where he DOES win the last fight, but in the end, he chose the RIGHT way to end it!
