  • I am 5'2, 105 pounds and my cup size is 30 F, would i be a good candidate?!!?

  • I am 17 years old, 5'4 130 pounds with a 32 DDD. I consulted my doctor about a breast reduction and he sent my referal through to a surgeon. I was just wondering how long it took for your surgery to happen, because i am starting to lose hope in the fact that ill actually be getting my surgery

  • @MsKendal19 Well my whole process too about a year front the point of first seeing my regular doctor to making the surgery date with my surgon- sometimes it takes awhile for things to process through the system, but don't get discouraged! It just takes time :D

  • @MsKendal19 good luck and stay strong. I am 3mths out from my breast reduction and i was a H cup to now a C/D cup. It took a week 1/2 to get my approval but i did do 1mth of physical therapy just to show that i tried other methods. It is the best decision ever and i wish i would have done it when i was your age. I am 29 now. good luck

  • I am 5’6” and I weigh about 135-145 lbs now and I feel I am a good candidate for breast reduction surgery. I have always had very large breasts and since I had my baby my breasts have increased 4 cup sizes in the past year during my pregnancy and now while I am breastfeeding. I was a 36FF cup before having my baby, but since I had my baby I am now a HH cup. I can’t wait to be able to breathe better, go jogging and walk in a mall without people staring at my breasts. Did health care pay for it?

  • @FoxyBrownLXIX my insurance paid for about 3/4 of the surgery, I had to pay the rest out of pocket~

  • i got a breat reduction done in october of 2011. i was wondering if you can tan in a tanning bed after surgry or if you have to tape the scars to cover them?

    thanks

    sierra

  • @babygirl32ist Well I only tan when Im going on vacation- I am scandinavian so I don't get a base- I just burn lol so I tan to make my base so I hopefully don't burn as bad~ Anywho- my doctor told me to try and stay away from tanning beds until at least 1 year post-op after that just use the highest SPF sunscreen on the scars, you can cover them if you feel more comfortable with that- just make sure you use a heat resistant cover so you don't burn yourself~

  • Hey! How did you get insurance to pay for the surgery?

  • @danielleelizabeth93 I was pretty much given a checklist of things that needed to be wrong with me or things i needed to do to try and correct the issue without surgery first- once i proved to them that the other methods were not working (this was over a 6-8month period that i had to goto a chiropractor, physical therapist, water therapy, get an MRI and goto my regular doctor) now my issuance didn't cover the entire surgery, I still had to pay out of pocket- but it took a lot for me to get there

  • After watching your video I felt a whole lot better about getting a breast reduction. You made me feel comfortable with the idea and I loved that you walked through a lot of the experience. I am 22 years old and I just had my surgery on Tuesday the 10th of January. It's now Thursday the 12th and I feel 50 times better than I did on the first day! I'm still pretty stiff and sore but nothing that's too intolerable. I'm so happy I went through with the breast reduction! Thank you for the video!

  • @nikkibabiiiii I am so glad I could be of help, even if it was a little- Im going in for my 1 year 6 month post-op check up this thursday and I am so excited to show my doctor all the progress I have made :D!

  • Hi - I just ran into your video, I am considering breast reduction surgery, and I live in Kent Washington. I have an appointment for a consultation with Dr. Barner, I think it is the same office as Dr. Briscoe. I know Dr. Barner has been doing his for over forty years, but I'm wondering if I should go to Dr. Briscoe.... Can you leave a message here with more info about your Dr....please. Thanks.

  • @talan11a Well that will come down to which doctor you feel most comfrotable with- im sure you can ask to meet her and see what you think~ that would be my personal opinion

  • Yea I am so glad that I did this while I am young too. I figured that I am done having kids and by having my breasts so large and them causing so much pain I cannot play and be active with my kids which is heart breaking because that's why I had them young so that I could do those things. So now that I got this done I will be able to and I will feel better about myself as well. I am healing okay but I my boobs are hyper-sensitive which hurts. Not sure if that is normal or not...

  • @Mrschristina1989 after my surgery i was numb in about 90% of my breasts for the first week or so (besides the normal post surgery aches and pains) after that I slowly began getting feeling back, and as I did i was hyper sensitive. The sensitivity has gone down over time, the only issue I still have are my nipples, they are hyper sensitive for some reason. I went to my 1 year 6 month post op appointment yesterday and my dr said it was normal and over time that would go away as well~

  • @Mrschristina1989 (ran out of room on the last comment lol) So just be patient and give it time- the other thing you can do is stimulate your breasts, rub them twice a day with lotion for about 5 minutes each- it will be tough at first- but will make a big difference in the long run~ best of luck to you!!

  • Thanks for EVERYTHING !!! I'm having my surgery on october 20 2011.....so nervious!!!!

  • @ChispyBarbershop You will do amazing!! Best of luck! Let me know how everything goes :D

  • Can you please tell me how long after your approval the hospital contacted you with your surgery date? I got my approval at the end of september, and they still have not contacted me. I keep calling them and they are all like, yea, yea, yea, dont call us, we'll call you. Im so pissed right now...lol.

  • How soon after you were approved by your insurance company were you able to actually have your surgery?

  • @LoveMyLibby Well once i went to my doctor with all of my paperwork (I can go into more detail as to what the paperwork all was if youd like in another comment) and id say she sent it in the next day and we heard back within 2-3 weeks (cant remember EXACTLY ^^; )

  • @HoshiAkita Hi im getting a breast reduction done next week Tuesday.. 9/27/11 and i am soooo nervous. but i know it is going to be soo worth it.

Thanks for posting this video. Now i know what to expect after surgery... Iam young too Im only 20 and iam a 44 DDD or 40 F sooo we are very similar.

Iam also doing a Breast Reduction journery as well, just for the same reason as you. Please subscribe to my channel! :D

  • @keshia46 I have been watching all of your updates and I am SOOOO happy for you!! I'm glad i could help you out a little and im so happy to see your restults and that your recovery is going so well! I would love to keep in touch! Private message me so we can chat :D

  • Hi! I just wanted to say thank you for this video because I too came here looking for answers. I am having my breast reduction on 10/5/2011 and I am very nervous about it. I am 22 years old with two children and physically cannot do much like play with them at the park due to having large breasts. I am currently a 34 F or 38 DDD. I am going down to a C or D cup. I am only 5'0 so the weight is horrible on back. Again thank you. There isnt a video on here I havent seen now!

  • @Mrschristina1989 Im so very happy for you that you can get this procedure done while both you and your children are still young! you will bounce back quick and live a new amazing life~ Let me know how wverything goes!!

  • thank you so much for putting your story up, i'm having my reduction tomorrow morning .

    i am a 32 FF and will be going down to a 32 C .

  • @uching I wish you the best of luck!! You will pull through and never regret this decision!! Let me know how it goes, I would love to hear back from you when your done :)

  • @HoshiAkita I'm 37 years old and getting ready to go through breast reduction surgery on 9/22/2011. I'm goiong from a 42DDD to hopfully a C cup. I'm extremely nervous and excited at the same time. I too have alot of back issues and i'm hoping this helps aleviate the pain and discomfort i have with my back.... the one thing that i'm most fearful of is pain. i know it's temporary but that part uis what's going to suck. They say my surgery is going to take 2-1/2 hours? did u come home the same day?

  • @cjmclaughlin2002 It is too bad you couldnt ave gotten your surgery at a younger age- but better late than never!! Pain was the #1 concern I had when going through with the surgery- my surgery actually lasted 4 1/2 hours and I was able to go home that night~ the first 3 days are the hardest and then day by day things get easier ^^ just make sure you ice ice ice!! that will help with the swelling and in turn the pain as well~

  • I also did the same : chiropractor, physical therapy, pain meds, I even lost 100 lbs the old fashioned way (eat less/move more)...and then the final kickers: cortisone shots for shoulder and shown x-rays that showed the start of deformity. Did this surgery 3 weeks after shoulder. Even took my insurance denial to 2nd level grievance committee (which had 3 out of 5 women who were also large-chested) and sent letter to CEO--only to be denied.

  • I am at day 5 post-op from my surgery. I applaud your video, and your decision to do this at your age. The repercussions of not doing it are very harsh as I found out. My rotator cuff in my right shoulder tore and needed to be repaired/anchored with a screw and I have permanent shoulder grooving . Unfortunately, my insurance company did not cover this, but my wonderful husband of 21 years told me to go ahead and do this as he was tired of seeing me in daily pain. I am 45 and was a 38G.

  • i'm getting this surgery this upcoming tuesday and i'm FREAKING OUT! i'm really nervous about it and i'm defiantly not ready for the pain!

  • @prettyjaye18 You will do great!! I was freaking out too, but everything is so worth the ending results!! Be brave, this is life changing :)

  • @HoshiAkita I just wanted to tell you that I had my surgery and the pain was not bad at all! I'm glad I did it!

  • Do you have any pictures of what your breasts looked like before and what they look like now?

  • @happypants2000 In the next video I was going to post pictures- Im not going to post actual photos of my naked brests, but ill show dressed photos in the same shirt~

  • @HoshiAkita oh ok, thats awesome. some show there naked breasts and some don't so i was just curious. thanks for the video and your response :)

  • I am currently sixteen, and I am a 36 triple D. My problems started in about eighth grade and have gotten worse. I was curious about the minimal age requirement for this surgery process.

  • @KamiKiraKaze Im assuming it depends on the state and what its age limits are- In washington you can be 16 or older to have the procedure done- of course the younger they are the more likely it is a very severe care ^^; I was 19 when I had my sugery

  • I really have to say thank you for this video since I am really looking into this surgery. I have a question. You said you went through a lot of tests before the surgery and one was the acupuncture . Is it necessary to have that one done?

And is the surgery really dangerous? (After having complications when having my tonsils out I am very scared to go through another surgery)

  • @epicmadness9000 It all depends on what your insruance will require from you so that it proves to them this is hazordious to your health and causes you day to day issues~ As far as dangers in the surgery it would be blood loss, anistesia, and of course infection- the reason I say its dangerous is becuase my surgery lasted 4 1/2 hours, and of course blood loss and infection are the #1 things they watch for. It also leaves large scars~ but if your healthy you'll pull through no problem!~

  • @HoshiAkita When you say healthy how do you mean?

  • @epicmadness9000 when I refer to healthy I mean that you are a non-smoker, healthy weight, no drugs, light drinking- pretty much anything that could possibly cause any issues during your recovery process~

  • I am 1,60 m which is like 5'1, I think lol and I'm a 38E. I want to do the surgery but at the same time I'm still scared of the it and specialy all the pain it involves. yes I'm a wuss. lol But hearing you say it was worthy made me feel a bit more confident about it. Thanks for sharing ^_^

  • @xKaarax The pain is totaly worth the end result- and like I said, the only time I had any issues with pain was the first 48 hours, after than I was totaly fine~

  • This question is about cosplay are u going to be cosplaying with twinfools and nova

  • @MikuZatsune1 This video has nothing to do with cosplay, thus not the approriate place to ask this question.

  • i admire you for posting this

  • I give you kudos for going through with the surgery and I am glad that you are happy with yourself now. My favorite thing to see on youtube is someone willing to post about their own experiences and in turn it helping other people...there are so many people that wont ask for help or seek out information from doctors or other people in the medical community for surgeries like your or any others...and until they see someone they follow on youtube or a friend talking about it they wont do anything

  • @ninjagirl35 I did this becuse i was COMPLETLY embarrased about the whole ordeal, and thats what made me post this- becuase i knew almost everyother person was feeling the same way. If I could help at least one girl on here it would be worth the embarssement~ not to metion its nice to talk to someone whos been through it rather than a doctor who just talks about it

  • okay well i'm 15, 5`4 and i'm a 38D and i have alot of back and neck pain...could my breasts be the reason for my pain?

  • @kurama870 Very much so- it all depends on your body type nad build. if you are really concernd you shoudl goto your regular doctor and tlak to them about it, make them aware and then they can give you a direction to go in wether it be a referal to a plastic surgon or another idea they might have.

  • I am 18, 5'1 and have DDs. I have an almost constant lower back pain and an occasional lower neck pain, though I'm not sure if this is entirely to do with my breasts, as I use a backpack to carry my school work in, and that gets pretty heavy.

This was a very informative video. Thank you for making it. I've been toying with the idea of looking into reduction for about a year now.

  • @DaytheDreamer I useto have a ver heavy backpack as well- but if it is a constant pain in your lower back it is more thank likey your breasts casuing the issue~ thanks for posting ^^

  • Im 14 and im a 32D. Thankfully i dont get pains or anything so im good for now i hope!

  • i dont know if its because of my breasts, but i am about 4'10"-4'11" and im a 34C. i get shoulder pain, lower back pain, and its not comfortable to stand straight all the time. i was thinking about reduction but not many people have been supportive....do you know anything about what i should maybe do?

  • @SaeKasumi You should most deffintly make a consoltation with a doctor- have them take all your measuremnts and see where you fall on their sclaes and then go from there- as far as the support goes, if you qualify for the surgery you need to do whats best for you, this surgery will improve your health and lifestyle dramaticly, so you do whats best for you!

  • @HoshiAkita thanks so much ^.^ im glad i found someone that i could ask and that makes a whole bunch of things better. Ill try to go in when possible, ill tell you what happens

  • my mom said i might hav to do this bcz im 13 and im 34C now. :/

  • @xMaiDayX

    i want it done i'm actually 14 and a 46D

  • @midnightwolf513 Your pretty much on the road to where I was, maby a little bigger than i was at 14 too infact, wat until you are at least 16 before you make a decision though- its lifechanging, but also very serious surgery- I encourage you to gather as much information as possible though!

  • @HoshiAkita thank you so much carly

  • @midnightwolf513 No problem! and just to let everyone know my name is spelt Karley :D

  • @HoshiAkita oops sorry i know like 5 others with that name and theirs is spelt carly

    sorry anyway thanks again!

  • @xMaiDayX Keep your head up- there is always time and you never know what your growth patterns will be in the next few years- stay positive!!

  • Thank You for sharing this. It's great information to know.

  • thanks for all the information in this video.I have consiterd to have breast resuction for some time now and it was good to get some information.though I will not have it any time soon

  • @95loveanime Feel free to ask questions to anyone about it for more information- you can always message me or call a doctors office, its always free to ask questions ^^

  • @HoshiAkita thanks ^^

  • msn in the background XD

  • Thank you so much for this video, it was so incredibly informative. I'm actually seeking breast reduction, so thank you!

  • @BlackPopcornKitten I was hoping I could help at least one person! I'm so glad! And best of luck to you on your sugery if you have it, it will change your life!

  • This helped me I'm 18 , 5'2-5'3 and I have DDs, I get the pain in my neck, lower back and shoulders and I'm Constently Hunching. I'm consitering getting Reduction..But I'm also kinda Chubby and I think that may be some of the case but It's so uncomfortable to work out with a cheast like that.

  • @StrangeLittleInvader Im glad I could be of some help- I know exactly what you mean when you say its impossible to workout- I played soccer for 13 years so that made me stay in shape, but as soon as i blew out my knee i had to workout to keep in shape but becuase of the backpain i couldnt- you should look into it, talk to a doctor its always free to ask questions to a professional and get their opinion~

  • Do you know anyone that makes the breast completely gone? (Ex) To make the chest look less girlish and more masculine?

  • @CarrieButterfly10 you would have to look for a person that does breast removal, they tkae of the breast and give you a flat chest

  • @CarrieButterfly10 Well are you looking for a transgender surgery or a surgery to remove your brests for cancer purposes?

  • @HoshiAkita Probably the first one :/

  • @CarrieButterfly10 Thats a whole other ballfeild than what I went through ^^; you will need to goto a clinic that specializes in transgender and get the help you need there ^^

  • @HoshiAkita Thanks anyways ;_; :)

  • Sorry my bad

  • @Rodrgo821 That is dumb don't do that stuff >.> people hate it ya know <.<
