  • the gay music just pisses me off for no reason but the origami is cool

  • @poisonskull14 i like it but it does get anoying over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again

  • Omg, I thought origami was just swans and flowers and stuff. I am so going to try this (only finiding the time remains a problem as I bet this takes very very long for a beginner).

  • patience is a prerequisite ; )

  • ooooooooooh i want to scream anyone....... i can't bind it in the end.......:( somehow help me pleaseeeeeeeeeeee, it's too hard, i almost did it..... i can't end it :(

  • the same to me :(

  • @barbabellaatje agreed

  • @barbabellaatje

9 people are haters of origami and can't make anything good out of paper so they disliked your videos.

  • i always get tierd and skip to the last bit of the video to see the finish , Nice work ^_^

  • When you squeezed the points together, it made me think...

could you connect the modules on the inside and have it reversed? hmm

  • I like the music, it makes it funny

  • HOMO MUSIC!!!!!!

  • no offense but the music was kinda cheesy but overall good tutorial!

  • Ahhhh all done...NOW LETS LOB IT AT SOMOINE ^.^

  • thanks for the video, i made it and without the G word ,can you make a video of an origami kusudama ?

  • o_O already have so many origami kusudama vids or looking for a particular model?

  • o sorry i havent seen your videos and find the kusudama that i was looking for thanks for the videos

  • arghhh the G word

    LOL

  • can it be computer paper?

    respond ASAP

  • yep, is even easier as it is much thicker ;)

  • it looks like a star!^^

  • nice one, but at first im a little puzzled coz the color of the paper you use is kinda hard to look at esp in an instructional video like this but im on my 15th piece....hehe tnx for posting...hope ill finish this one..

  • i always have to use t_ pe because i don't know how to finish the top

  • damm i wanted to put this on top my Christmas tree

  • I'd be grateful if you could show us in a video how you insert the last module. It just doesn't seem to work for me, no matter how hard I try... Thanks a lot!

  • You'd better ask Radjehuty that!! It will be a very long video!!! :D

  • oh my, well making a video on the last piece would be quite epic!

I have gotten much better at doing it though, but I have to say that there is no real trick to it, only practice.

I'd say the biggest help for me has come with using a toothpick for small models, or a shishkabob skewer for large models.

I stick them in the inside pocket to make sure i know its open, then I slide the flap BEHIND the stick to make sure i know it will go in.

You kinda have to mold it a bit after that. Good luck!

  • I have to try that sometime :)

  • You can also make this model using sonobe modules.

  • You know what's worse than the G- Word?

    The S- Word!

    SCISSORS!!!

  • AAAAARGHHHH !!! Flag as inappropriate! Mark as spam! :D

  • I'm making this for my Christmas tree..... It's pretty cool. I might start uploading origami videos... it seems to be really fun :D

  • The more the merrier ;)

  • If i create videos then, should i talk in them? or should there just be music?

  • whatever you think is best and the hardest part to be at leats a bit original ;)

  • This assembly is really hard... have any tips? Cause..... im really messed up with the paperclips... and it just seems wrong.

  • It is difficult, although the completed model is very stable, you only get the stability when you are almost done. What helps somewhat is to put the model not on a flat surface but against on object e.g. pile of books (or even in a bowl now that I think of it... ;) ) something to get it closer to the shape you need to get a better overview and make connecting the modules easier. Good luck!

  • That is so genius? a bowl. I am so going to try it out! :D

  • I think it may also have to do with the type of paper. The paper I used when I originally made a few of these was rather tough like printing paper so the model was actually stable throughout the whole thing.

You may want to try to make sure you make very sharp creases and use sturdy paper like plastic or printing paper. That last piece you may want to use a toothpick since the locks are on the inside.

  • holy sh-t this is gonne be hard to put it togwether lol

  • somehow I think you'll manage ;)

  • Yes it was hard to put together at first. It takes a bit of spatial skill to understand how the pieces fit together.

The Icosahedron version is also rather difficult, though not much worse than this.

  • I'm going to try it now!!

    ~Kevin

  • Don't forget to show it on your channel :D

  • really coz i have no vids there lol ill post some soon just showing the models ive made

  • look forward to see ;)

  • too hard i wont do it!

  • Aww. Yes it is a very difficult model to assemble if you aren't experienced. However, there are sooooo many awesome models on Youtube that are also easy! Try searching for the "Sham", "Sonobe", or "Curler cuboctahedron"

Those are easy and impressive too. Good luck!

  • That paper is really cool 8) Great video! I made one...but my paper isn't as fun as yours 8(

  • very talented!!!

  • i love it =)

  • inpresionanteeeeeeee

  • Beautiful!! It's such a tease how easy the units are and how the last module takes longer to put in than it does to make all 30 modules!!

I remember it took me almost a solid hour to get mine in >.>

Thanks for making this video! I think the diagrams would be a little confusing to beginner origamists so this will definitely be of great help to those people.

Try the Icosahedron version some time, I don't think it's quite as hard, and it looks cool with foil paper :D

  • :D The one currently shown as my icon is made from plastic foil ... which is a bit harder to fold ... but very nice ... assembling it didn't get any easier!!

  • whoa soooo kewl yay i made it

  • GREAT! 5/5

lol when you said "now you just need 30 more!"

    0_o

  • Yep.. forgot the word "only" there!! :D

But really for this type of complexity you would normally need at least the double amount of units and much more folding... but don't let i fool you ... it is quite difficult to assemble (even with paperclips) as it only becomes stable at the end when 25 of the 30 modules are in position ;)

  • Cool tutorial, like always!

5* and adding to my favorites!

    :-)

  • Grazie :) haven't seen you fold much lately Dan ;)

  • Uhm, yes, you're right... I have to admit that lately I've been involved with some friends in a new hobby... cooking!

    :-D

By the way, I searched and found some instructions for a classic cooking hat made with an origami technique... needless to say that I wasn't able to make it!

    xD

Anyway, I guess that I'll come up with a new tutorial, one of these days...

    ^_^

  • That's ok too (without the folding ...) I am always on the look out for new Italian recipes :D

  • Fantastic!

  • 1st Thx :D
