  • Where is the video, I get audio only.

  • Helen is the one in black :)

  • which 1 is helen

  • I like the Old song like this....

  • Those dance directors and music directors from that time could bring the best out of the actors and singers and dancers. Golden time of Indian film Industry

  • Why all voice of female India singers sounds the same?

  • @mktuag This is not true, but I understand why you would think this... Many of the greatest film songs were sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle, so very often when looking up the best songs you may actually be hearing the same singer! Besides this, in this sort of music the female vocalist generally has a higher-pitched voice. Most of the best songs are composed by RD Burman--like this one--so stylistically you will also be hearing the same musical approach.

  • Teesri Manzil! I remember the day when I went to watch this movie. 2000 spectators were inside the bioscope and about 6000 were outside looking for tickets. Among those inside were Hindus, Moslems, Whites, Blacks and Coloureds.

Shammi Kapoor was known as the idol of the young those days. His films were mostly released for Divali, Christmas, Eid and New Year, mainly to attract the biggest crowds. All his films had great songs.

He has always been and will always be my favourite actor.

  • Helen was indeed a great dancer

  • Totally rockin'....

  • yaddi deaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa wo Burma ki thi

  • Helen rocks in this song yar.....

  • IMMORATAL MAN MUHAMMED RAFI SAAB

  • @1141jasmine with that make up a monkey will look hot too, I think hihihihi

  • Don't you mean Elvis was Shammi! :)

  • @AZASALE Good point! ;)

  • Shammi Kapoor was Elvis Presley

  • Shammi Kapoor and Helen. What a wonderful combination. If only they would have omitted all images of Asha Parekh from this song it would have been a perfect 10 :) Nevertheless, LOVE THE SONG and the 2 main characters.

  • at the very starting the man in the drum is salman's dad salim the scriptwriter. look for the longer version....

  • Great Voice Rafi Sahab and Asha Ji!!!

  • cute sonGGGGGGG!!!!

  • salman khan's stepmom helen!!!!!!!!!!

  • I like the song. Old Hindu songs are really very good. This is so funny.

  • Shammi Kapoor is very good actor. I like this song very much. Teesri Manzil movie was very good.

  • Shammi Kapoor, an Indian icon.

  • For a 1966 movie, this song sounds quite modern. Pretty nice song to listen too. Wonder if they still make songs in India as good as this one. I know old folks in Malaysia, now in their 60s to 80s, are suckers for old Hindi movies and songs such as this. Greetings from Malaysia.

  • This is seriously one of the great Bollywood songs that has stood the tests of time. ANY wedding reception, birthday party, etc. wherein the DJ spins THIS song, everyone is feelin' it! :)

  • Helen is stunning... just stunning....and this song was one of her bes performances... BRILLIANT

  • A masterpiece by GOLDIE (Vijay Anand)

  • mind blowing song!!

    love from malaysia..

  • helen is soo pretty...i likey her in the song mera naam chin chin choo..heheh

  • Old music is the best music =P I always enjoy the Shammi Kapoor and Mohammed Rafi combination. I think Shammi was really cute back then.

  • omg the lady that's dancing is SO PRETTY!! is she even indian tho?? -_- i'm jealous...

  • She's helen, the greatest bollywood film dancer - FACT

  • yea she is dear

  • Her father was English man and her mother was Nepal. That's why she looks very different.

  • of course she is. Indian women are the prettiest things in the world. You ought to see my grand mum .. she's smashing even at 80 :-)

  • She is half Burmese as well.

  • @iitzeus

Sorry, Helen is not indian woman. She is Birman. I am not hindustani but i know that she is not indian. Anyway she is a great dancer. She illuminate our child and young periods.

  • @TIRYAKOUN lol I typed in 'Burman' in google search and apparently it's a breed of cat XD.

Also, she IS indian. Indian is a nationality not a ethnicity.

  • @optimisticbabe

Ghalat bilkul ghalat hai. Ye Chhut hai. Thanks for the compliment. I was born in france (1956) city's name Lyon. I am not an indian citizen. But i think that i know India and Indians better than you. they are so educated and Gentlemen. I have visited Mumbay, Calcutta, Madras, Vishakhaptnam many times. Hélène is born 21st october 1939 in burma. In french 'Birmanie'. Complete name is Hélène Richardson. I think it's clear. In Mumbay there is a magazine called 'Première' .

  • @optimisticbabe

IF you have time to spend, in 1995 this magazine has published all the informations about 100 famous actresses and hindi actors for celebrating the 100 birthday of Bollywood industry. Hélène was one of them. I add you something more, Kapoor family is from Afghanistan. It's not important where are you from but what are doing for humanity. Don't forget that the first woman appears in Hindi movie was Nadiya. She was an English. May be Nadiyawala films tell you something. samja

  • @TIRYAKOUN rofl XD Are you crazy? Deluded too, buy the looks of it.I t is clear you are in dire need of your own advice 0_o. You don't need an essay to bate your insecurity and lack of knowledge. Go on do your bid for humanity and next time don't get your knicker in a twist.

PS shammi's family are from present day Pakistan (go see on SHAMMI'S website: junglee

  • @optimisticbabe

I am very sorry for you. The first Kapoor in India was a policeman. He cames from Afghanistan. The father of Prithiviraj Kapoor. The first Kapoor who came to the industry. Be a gentleman and dont use wrong words. I can do this easely with you. But i dont. My education doesnt allowed me to use the abject terms. I know family Kapoor better than you can dream. They come in England, France, Switzerland and speak to the other people. By the way, what do you think about Hélène ?

  • @TIRYAKOUN bahahahahahah jigawikifs gaughu kolafgggrrrrrr.

    Hypocrite and stupid rofl.

  • @optimisticbabe

Shukriya bahut shukriya. Listen young man or woman! I am an old man and vomitory language is not 'ma tasse de the'. To be a gentlemen there is an effort to do. Controversy is over. I would like if you asked me more précisions. Insulting people instead debating in calm is not a solution. At all. I can use five languages to insulting you behind my machine but i dont. I am not a coward. One day a monkey asked a mule : 'Who is your father? The mule replayed 'My uncle is the horse'

  • @TIRYAKOUN the mule replayed?

  • @OfficialMuhammadAli

Nobody is perfect. The english is my fourth language. I don't care if what i have said is arrived to the other side. Following the errors of people is like an old lady cathing a thief. In Islam is haram bilkul. The means of 'LA TAKFU' is: 'don't follow'. My first language is french then arabic and italian. My english is vvery primitive like we say in french as 'troglodyte'.I'm trying to learn hindi/urdu with some sucess.Anyway friendly yours. Don't upset. Khuda Hafiz.

  • @optimisticbabe

The last short story is not directed against you. Pas du tout ! Not at all ! It's my point of view to explain you why some people has many interest to disguise their roots or names. Take another example. Dilip Kumar true name is Youssouf Khan. Don't insult me please ! Genealogy is a science. My doctoral thèse was about Bollywood industry mention 'Très bien'. In the 70's and 80's the standings and careers of some actresses was destroyed cause they have kept their family names

  • @optimisticbabe

Attention ! If you use one more wrong word with me. I shall close forever your youtube count. I have the evidences. You are making a good job with hamsters. You have to continue. Controversies and insults are over. Phir milengi. Djawab nehi manzur. Salam.

  • @TIRYAKOUN ONE WORD:LOL

thanks for the essay in reply to my 1 comment bahahahahahah jigawikifs gaughu kolafgggrrrrrr.

    yabadabadooo

  • @optimisticbabe

Where are you passed. I missed you babe. What are you doing with hamsters ?

AYA GHYUL AMOKRANE. INAALZERI3TIKH AKHUL. Don't try to translate. You can't.

  • @TIRYAKOUN fool.XD rofl what i posted weren't even real words. i just did it 2 rile you and let you prance around like a headless toe. XD. lol keep em coming.

    baahahaha silly old man

  • @optimisticbabe

You can't. You are so far than prancing me or disturbing me as well as you hope. Silly young man, give some respect to the ancient and you will learn a lot. In fact, i know that you are a good person but we have to make this stupid show and other blablabla for gallery as a clown (tera nam joker hai). You have to grow up a little. What i have posted is a friendly message in my mom berberian language. That's all. Tchao raggazo. A la prossima volta. Arrivederci. Basta. (italian)

  • @TIRYAKOUN bonjourno bella lol you joker. Don't become a mess. It was only harmless teasing.

Arrivederci to you too sexy pants

  • @optimisticbabe

Of course, bello raggazo, it was a harmless teasing. By the way, 'bella' is for larki (ragazza) and 'bello' is for larka (ragazzo). I am an old man ! Bella for me is inopportunate. For Madhuri Dixit surely it will ! Sexy pants ! If you mean 'caleçons' like we say in french, i am partisan of nudism and i hate pants. If you mean the other luggage, i shall deceive you . In morphological terms, i'm near M. Gandhi than Mumtaz ! Before, perhaps. Main aurat nehi hai. Is it correct ?

  • @TIRYAKOUN haha I know :) i was teasing you because i'm a girl. i thought 'babe' would have given it away.

i'm sure you were quite the ladies man in your hey day. having to fight the ladies and the fellas *wink wink* off with a stick.

haan aap aik nanne se munne se bache ki tara hon :D- did you understand?, or not?.

  • @optimisticbabe

Hum ! Only ek larki can do this. The picture posted has confused me. Well done ! Anyway, you are a malicious larki ! Are you from Penjab ? You need a 'fessée' ( french). Yes, i did even in India. I was a globetrotter and a charming young man.In Mumbai, crawford market was a nice place and some blacks aa'nk aur laal saree make the rest. Are you jealous ? Attention ! if you do, i shall fall in love with you. I have done my best to translate your hindi sentence and according to

  • @optimisticbabe

to my Vidyarthi Mithram Malayalam dictionary (a souvenir of Madras). Mom ! amazing South Indian girls ! According to, i said, likhe khat tujhe : haan aap aik se for me are ok. 'nanne' is maternal grandmother. 'munne' is a hermit or a sage. I have some difficulties to do it with 'bache' (female child ? Is it correct ?) and 'tara' (a star ? or threefold ? Which one is correct ?). I guess the meaning but the spirit not at all. I love women challenges. Hindi woman, je t'aime !

  • @TIRYAKOUN Ok. Well, your pretty far away from the real meaning.I don't know wheher what i said is hindi/urdu though. hmm.

By the way, i'm not indian. But i stil je t'aime you for trying to solve the puzzle

  • @optimisticbabe

It's specific hindi/urdu though. You don't help me a lot like this ! Tara is also an apple, i think. I am approaching the real meaning and if what i guess is this, you will have a surprise from me. Slowly with me, i am a poor man with a weak heart. Despite the meanings, where are you from ? Ti amo mio amore.

  • @TIRYAKOUN I was born and bred in the UK. haha you asked about me :P.so that was your answer.

haan aap aik nanne = Yes, you are a adorable

    XD

Is your weak heart better now?

  • @optimisticbabe

Bonsoir (namaste), thanks for the information. It's clear for me, the quality of the english you use -it's an evidence-. I was born and bred in France (Lyon). I give up my tongue to the cat like we say in french 'Je donne ma langue au chat'. That's my answer for the présent moment. We shall see! I'am reading urdu lughat dictionnary with arabic characters. Maybe i shall discover the rest. My feelings have directed me to do it. Anyway tu es adorable mera khub surat angreezi hai

  • @optimisticbabe

Sorry, i have forgotten to introduce myself, my name is Samir.

  • @optimisticbabe

मुन्ना (munne) I think is something about seeing or reaching the stars, something like that. I surrender with guns and luggages. Je t'aime mon amour.

  • @iitzeus shes from england PWN!!!
