'EDCAG' is the poem at the break in the middle of the song where it speeds up and Ozzy sings the poem. Jeeeez. I guess someone was j/o in the corner while God was passing out brains.
This riff is amazing. When I first heard it I closed my eyes and relaxed. For 1 minute and 55 seconds I cared about nothing. I simply listened and was at peace.
Tony Iommi is the king of guitar simply because of the fact that HE'S MISSING 2 FINGERS!!!!! AND HE STILL SHREDS LIKE HE HAS 40 FINGERS FLYING AROUND THE PLACE! G-O-D PERIOD!!!
Best 5 metal albums of all time in no particular order: Black Sabbath Black Sabbath, Paranoid, Master of Reality, Vol 4 & Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. Nothing else comes close. Why? 'Coz every other band tries to recreate the buzz and feeling these albums invented.
I do believe this is Under the Sun. Every Day Comes and Goes is the middle part with the first solo, Under is the the first ans second parts. I do believe, I'm not sure.
@mattia712 It's a tie between the first six for me. Black Sabbath, Paranoid, Master of Reality, Vol 4, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, and Sabotage really helped me develop my style of writing music. And those albums will always stand the test of time, in my opinion.
@melvmetal ...i prefer the Dio solo album than BS...they was great but too different from the classic period i loved...however Heaven and Hell album is special ;)
It's awesome, and that's all. You ever heard Stan Lee say nuff said? It's a cool line. Well, I think so. Not puttin down Black Sabbath or anything. They're great!
@OzzyVanHalen hey i am cool with your opinion about that statement, but my personal opinion is that Dimebag Darrell was one bad ass riff guitarist in the world, hope no offense taken and i will not get mad if you reply back, if you love this music you kick ass, just making a comment, rock on
@MightySaturn5 I definitely agree dude, theres somethin about it when you just close your eyes n lose yourself you can almost feel what he was feeling when he was playing. haha im pretty far out

I quite sure you don't even know what marioperfect is talking about
but the main point is: why uploading this with only 1:51? who likes this part better could skip directly to this, there's no need to upload a 1:51 version, or you just uploaded another video to grown up your visualizations? bah, bye
There is no such thing as evil as that was a projected construct of Roman Catholicism to make you lay down and prostrate and venerate the Holly Pope your supposed Father and so he will obsolve you of your BS sins and wont send you to Hell. Well Hell sounds like what you would be believing in and doing right now. Hell is here and now and evil only resides as the ego in ones mind
I could be pukin one night and having sex the next while this song plays
..this song is so pretty -the vomit takes on a glowing luster and the 470 lb. drunken flab factory starts lookin a little like Rocky's trainer "Mickey" when he was in his prime.
ur a dumbass this is clearly the first heavy metal it doesnt matter if u like that label or not its wat it is. listen to slayer they take a shitload from sabbath and u can hear it
Hello Mr. Retard ! I listened to some Slayer and comparing Slayer to Black Sabbath is like telling like a rat is the same as an elephant. Slayer is rarely melodic, except maybe on their album Rain in Blood and some tracks of Seasons in the Abyss but it clearly isn't the same.
well of course u can tell the difference there separtated by like 2 decades but u can obviously tell that slayer was heavily influeced by sabbath. ur not some kinda of expert because u can tell the difference between a 60's early heavy metal/ classic hard rock band and a 80's thrash metal
...when I read "Hello Mr. Retard !" I laughed pretty fuckin hard due to what I call "gettin to the point grammar"
...You can imagine the horror -if any 4th grader submitted a story that started with that sentence it wouldn't matter how good the rest was -especially if the teacher was a male.
they considered themselves rock, not stupid goddamn electric blues, and no they didnt call it heavy metal because it didnt exist until they created the genre
@malscott idk which band used it first, ik black sabbath certainly did not, but if u watch heavy: the story of metal they have a scene where tony iommi talks about how he first heard the term in like a 76 or 78 or something interview when the interviewer asked him
i forget which part he says that in but i suggest watching all parts cuz its good anyways
@DeBoner13 ok thaanks ya i will look up that program. i thought of a couple of tunes i would definetly call heavy electric blues, the wizard, hand of doom and warning.
Unlike most current bands Black Sabbaths tone changed dramatically from album 1 to 2 -totally different from each other ...this is because Sabbath was still changing and experimenting.
By spring of 72' (after 4 long years) BS went to work on their 4th album (Vol. 4)...they came a long way from the (2) six hour sessions that made up the 1st album -When they recorded this album they had tons of high tech studio time and pounds of special quality California cocaine -Albums mood = coke high
black sabbath are the root of all evil in music ;) thats the point they opened up a new style in music . .using evil accords and thats heavy metal! .but what i love in sabbath is that it is some kind of minimalistic and on the other side very progressive hardrock!. .great combination. .
yes you have probably the best answer people tell they are pioneers of heavy metal but I don't think they are heavy metal itself. It's more their gothic clothing and lyrics that have inspired heavy metal but I think that even with those great evil riffs they are hard rock band. I think it's a question of what you want it to be.
in a way they r pioneers. .because they opened up a new direction in music. .all in all its progressive hardrock u r right dude, but its just the feeling what jumps over to the crowd and this feeling was new to the people ;) and if u really wanna know the metal root u have to name some other artists too like zeppelin, frank zappa, hendrix, purple and cooper!
and without geezer butler bassists in metal bands would of most likely always played easy shit and no fills, but with geezer he inspored all metal bassists to be creative and not just sit on one note all day and to throw some fills in
