For arthritis,give the dog barley leave (half a teaspoon twice a day) arthritis should be gone in 3 weeks. Worked for me!!!!

Also a supplement called NatuVet. Its made from shark cartilage and works wonderful on arthritic joints. A little pricey, but well worth it.

What a fantastic older ridgeback! she looks fab for her age.Mine is 11 also but I'm afraid she has arthritis in her right hip now and limps around, its sad to see her like that, she also has some lipomas on her rear back, and recently had surgery to remove a tumerous spleen-but she's fully recovered from that now.We love her loads and she is a trully wonderfull part of our family.

Thanks for your nice comments. Rhode is actually 13 years old now (or will be in Dec.) He's a lot slower now than he used to be....75% blind and deaf but you'd never know it when he's wrestling with our 2 year old dog :)

His name is 'Trooper'. He was named for the troops serving overseas. He will be two in May. He's much bigger now and quite a menace ...but he's awesome :P
