How have you actually connected the LP to Ableton? Is it connected via USB? And what are the settings in Ableton? I would really like to record the audio while Ableton receives the MIDI data, so editing is much easier.
The Little phatty stage 2 comes with a vst plugin editor that lets you do everything inside ableton like any other plugin , it connects to the computer via USB
@Bboy235 didn't knew that the vst-editor is included with the stage 2. you can buy it at the moog-site for 60bucks which is ok if you really need it.
i prefer to grab some knobs, thats why i bought a hardware synth, but thats just my opinion ;) of course there are other synths with a less inviting interface (like the waldorf pulse or other racksynths, dsi mopho etc) where it's easier to control it via a vst-editor.
can you get delay and reverb effects from inside the moog? and can you midi note the moog sounds in? instead of just audio? or can you even do midi and audio at the sametime? in terms of notes?
i'm not quiet sure if i understood your second question... there is midi-in and out, so you can play or sequence the lp from another keyboard (or computer) and you can also play other midi instruments with it.
the new arp (which came with OS 2) sends notes to midi-out too.
@nativeops: try searching for s(m)exoscope... i think you can still download that plugin from smartelectronix
@shapelizer: thank you. sorry, i don't think it was a preset as i usually start with an "init"-sound.
in this case i think the osc-sync is active and the lfo is routed to wave... that's why the sound is fading out and in. also try using the filter sens-option especially for sequences.
man, i wish ableton would make a plugin that analyzes the audio wave form like that plugin does. i forget the name of it, but i used to use two of them when i master music. one pre-compression, and one post compression. it gives you an awesome live visual feedback of what dynamic processors do to the waveform. i downloaded it again, and it seems they've converted the plug into a spectrum analyzer now. WTF? do they still have the old one available for download?
this sounds like aliens pooping on eachother

no, the lp has no built-in effects.

Hi! This is an awesome sequence you have. Since I use the LP myself, I wonder what sound do you have as the preset?
