I don't really understand why some peaple consider Godsmack a poser band;there's nothing wrong with having an influence,every artist has a certain role model;I think these guys are among the few hard rock bands around that actually revive the old school originality feeling;in my case at least.I usually listen to metal but honestly you can't deny the fact that this band makes very good music;)

what the song means is that christianity in the U.S twisted the actual religion, not that the religion itself is bad, but the way it's practiced certainly is, a bad religion from a broken nation, i live in the Bible Belt of the U.S, and not being a christian myself, but knowing the bible, I can see exactly what Sully's saying, Protestants contradict thier own belief to the point where the religion isn't very respectable anymore, not all protestants churches are bad, but way more than a few are.

I am a metalhead and a Christian, I do not and will not force my religious beliefs on another person, they are entitled to their own beliefs. I would not want anyone to thrust their beliefs on me, therefore I do not do it to anyone else. Godsmack make good music, I listen to that, excellent music! I don't really understand why some peaple consider Godsmack a poser band;there's nothing wrong with having an influence,every artist has a certain role model;I think these guys are among the few hard rock bands around that actually revive the old school originality feeling;in my case at least.I usually listen to metal but honestly you can't deny the fact that this band makes very good music;)

I am very thankful for this song because born again Christians often do not represent Jesus Christ properly. Jesus Christ loved sinners and sat and ate with them. Jesus Christ is about relationship not religion and there is a huge difference. Jesus Christ came to save us from our sins not to condemn us. Instead of a Metal rebellion i propose a new plan.
1. Instead of bashin other metal artists, we need to unite. We cant fight against pop music if we arent even together.
2. Watch more and other metal videos to get it to the top of the youtube vid list
3. Instead of bashing pop, promote metal with logical reasons, not just "METAL RULES!!"

First off, godsmack is not metal, and secondly, diversity is what causes change and development of ideas(how do you think metal started?) Also, metal has more to do with electronics and live sound than anything else. Try playing the same stuff on a piano or harpsichord and that will prove my point. Try playing metal drums on bongos or even on a jazz kit...its no the same.
