@avitjorgi It has nothing to do with cables. It's the fact that the guitar has single coil pickups. If you play in the 2 or 4 position of the 5 way selector this should go away. Those positions are humbucking if it is wired like a standard strat.

About the sound of your amp... i don't think you have to worry about this... even with an expensive valvulate "power" amp you can't improve your "sound"... if you are using the audio of your camera...

Crate amps are cheap, you could get a decent one for around 100 dollars that would last.  The humming could be the pickups too though, but you never know.
