honestly I don't want a Splinter Cell movie because every single videogame into movie is dog shit and I don't want that to happen to Splinter Cell it doesn't deserve it its just too good and if a movie comes out I won't see it because I don't want to see Splinter Cell be ruined in front of my eyes on the big screen
To those that want a splinter cell film, this could happen! UBISOFT have announced that they are funding millions if not billions into a new film division for their company as they see that any films that should be made such as Splintercell and Assassins Creed should be made solely by them, because at the end of the day they did make the games afterall!
Does anyone know about the game not wanting to start? I play threw the program Steam, and it launches the game to the game menu just fine. But when I go to press on Training or New Game mode, It loads the map and then it freezes. I get a message about the "Splintercell.exe" stopped working, what does this mean. I'm in the process of reinstalling the game again.
Not because this game remind me siphon filter grabs the agent Gabe Logan makes me nostalgic uu hear this song I would like to have all the Splinter Cell saga
Double agent is one of THE BEST composed games ive ever herd. You really get the feeling that you are indeed a double agent and the music reflects that so well. First time i put the game in and herd this song playing on the menu, chills went down my spine...
Hey everybody! I have released my new album 'Progenitor' which has electronic music inspired by great games such as Splinter Cell. You can check it out and download it for free on my youtube channel if you're interested!
@Lazypackmule You make it sound like SC:CN's plot wasn't just a 'genetic terrorist plot'. The only difference was that in CN, Sam went shooting everyone up between him and his objective and in the previous - it was a stealth game, like it was supposed to be.
@SilentShadowLT I don't know what you were playing, but ghosting through nearly every level in Conviction was insanely easy. In the past two games, sam actually had character development, and the stories were more about him, in fact, that was almost the entirety of Conviction.
@Lazypackmule If by ghosting through you mean capping every NPC in the head on your way to the objective from the shadows, then yes. It's too easy in fact. What ever happened to limited ammo, stealth score, etc? What's with the M&E and snap-to autopilot?
The thing is about previous games is that Sam did have character development, like you said, but all that has developed was thrown away for a generic hollywood story when the game was handed to a movie producer instead of a game developer.
This theme was stuck in my head for like 3 years. I know most people don't like this game but I played through it so many times I thought it was awesome. Not as good as Chaos Theory but it was still good
That not a lot of people know, but when his job and damn sure his family, he will stop at nothing to end the exstintion of the men in his way. SAM FISHER A TRUE ELITE OF WARRIORS AND STEALTH TACTICS I SALUTE YOU.
Sam's life has changed the fate of many people. The day he decided to take the job as a spy after fighting in IRAQ, over 2,000 were ready to die from Sam's hand. Sam has served his country for 10 years. And after Lambert lied about Fisher's daughter's death, he himself was in line ready for his breath to be ended. The choices Sam, Grim, Lambert, Reed, Galliard, Victor, and Sarah made all came to the final chapter of the splinter cell series CONVICTION. Sam Fisher is the peaceful loving man cont.
@Rampagelil the 360 version sucked but the ps2 version was much better there was missions in them that was differnant which i find the ps2 missions were better :)
You gotta love the drum brushes at the beginning. It intensifies the mood of the song.
I absolutely enjoy the Splinter Cell series, but unfortunately, this game was my least favorite out of the franchise.
I guess this what happens when infiltration, hacking, and cracking are taken to the next level. It's not a GREAT game, but it certainly isn't horrible.
splinter cell is the game of my youth and the game i grew up with. this song kicks ass. it's exactly describing sam's feelings. by the way the story is just amazing. you can kill lambert who was actually always untouable in the earlier splinter cells. damn i don't have conviction yet but i'm gonna get it by my friend.
This is one of the saddest Splinter Cell games ever, and this theme reflects it.
Spoiler:
You have to work for the terrorist organization, lose your daughter, get abused by the NSA who put you in jail, and kill your close friend and colleague Lambert. Sucks to be Fisher. :(
To correct the uploader: this track is not by Cris Velasco - it's by Behavior (aka Michael McCann). This is the track that plays in the menu for the game and is found on the soundtrack you can download from Behavior's website. The only track done by Cris Velasco (aka Sonic Mayhem) for Double Agent was the actual Main Theme which plays during the opening credits cinematic.
Awesome song to go with an awesome game. I bought the 360 version at launch and beat it 4 times. Ive been recently playing Conviction and I think its the best Splinter Cell yet in terms of story. Such a great story that had me glued to my seat. I cant wait for the next one.
@serialkiller77 You are kidding me, right? It's the worst Splinter Cell by far. The reviews I've seen of it say it's a great action shooter. It's supposed to be a Stealth Game. And what the hell is with turning Black and White as a way to know if you're in darkness. That's just ridiculous. Double Agent had it right where you had to use your own judgement, but that wasn't even the best one, Chaos Theory was. And the Story Line isn't feasible. It's too personal.
@UAintDeletingThis1 You kill your former comrades with ease now, where as you used to hesitate to kill your enemies. Why Did They Get Rid Of The OCP (Optically Channeled Potentiator). That was one of the coolest gadgets to get through levels without breaking lights. And the AI SUCKS in Conviction! I would agree that it's a fun game, but it's not Splinter Cell.
@ZeNoodle It is fun, but the games where always more than that. They where edgy, about keeping your patience and controlling every scenario you got into. Even Double Agent made one improvement and added the 'judge your cover for yourself' which I prefer. But the story was too personal and not as interesting, imo. And now it's not Splinter cell at all
@UAintDeletingThis1 Not Splinter Cell? Play through the Deniable Ops mode, and you will find yourself disagreeing with that statement.
Conviction was the result of decades of work and training on Sam Fisher's part. When you have been all over the world, confronted every type of enemy there is, and have come out alive and victorious out of every situation you've found yourself in - you're bound to be the ultimate predator.
@uum6 I finished Deniable Ops without getting detected on Realistic. The AI is shit. I could run up to a guy and kill him without being heard by the 4 other guys only a few feet away. You can't pick up bodies because stealth is no longer an issue. I like the tagging system, but that makes it too easy. There's no point in having other guns in it. The silenced pistol is all you'd use. They can't seem to hear much at all like smashing a guys head into the wall, or shooting in general. It's terrible
@UAintDeletingThis1 Well you're SUPPOSED to be able to kill your enemies without a second thought - you've been doing it for like 30 or 40 years. I remember always using the OCP, but I didn't miss it in this game. Honestly Splinter Cells are supposed to be able to move very quickly through an area, take out everyone seemingly effortlessly, and come out undetected. The old games were unrealistic because you took an hour or more just to kill five people in a level. The AI had never been great.
@uum6 You aren't supposed to kill anybody. Most of the missions were simply Espionage, with no proof of him ever being there. You weren't supposed to move through it quickly, you were supposed to take your time and work it out. It was for patient people. And it gave you the nervous feeling you would get if you were hiding from someone. You have to be quiet and concealed. And where's the challenge in it being effortless. Have you ever tried to sneak up on someone without being seen? It's hard
@UAintDeletingThis1 Also I've never been one who goes through a level in any Splinter Cell game and doesn't kill at least one person - it's never worthwhile because you end up spending hours on it for little reward. If you try to go through a level without being detected, it becomes a "guess and check" scenario and in the end you only get through by memorizing every guard's routines and every inch of the level. It's like playing a chess game against a computer that always does the same moves.
@uum6 I've gotten through the games without killing except where specifically intended(which is rare). The reward is not having to cause it makes it harder. Knocking people out is fine, but killing is un-necessary. If you are that impatient, you don't like stealth games, you just like games where you have a little more control of a situation
@UAintDeletingThis1 There's no difference between killing and knocking people out. I also always knocked people out in Chaos Theory and Double Agent - I don't kill b/c it's unnecessary (like you said). However, just because Conviction is more fast-paced doesn't mean it's not a stealth game. I was patient enough to get through the old games by knocking people out, but taking forever to get through a level without touching a single person is ridiculous and a complete waste of time.
@UAintDeletingThis1 Their only job is to look out for intruders, but they're just normal guys with guns and flashlights. Most of them have been running the same shifts for weeks, if not months. Do you really expect them to be running around, checking every dark corner, turning around frantically every 3 seconds, and shooting at random shadows? That wouldn't make for a very fun game - that's why that never happened even in the old games.
Auch wirlich geiles spiel, kein sinnloses knall oder hau drauf spiel.. und echt gute story.. und oben drauf kommt noch geile musik dazu.. also wirklich eins der top spiele.
It really captures the mode of the game. It's gritty and sounds mysterious, just as you would expect from the story of a spy and undercover operative. It also sounds sad; fisher losing his daughter, making tough decisions between NSA and JBA, and the loss of his love enrica. It all fits perfectly.
This is sonic mayhem (Sascha Dikiciyan and Cris Velasco) not McCann.
