I just bought a 1944 Gullwing and have a short airsyrip in Portugal. How were you loaded? What was your approach speed and stallspeed. I am very interested to hear from you. Thanks Peter Kirschbaum
Hi, i think i had around half fuel that day (40 gal) it's a pretty good short field plane, i came in there once before a hair slower when there was no cross wind and didn't need much over half the strip for the landing rollout.
Runway is 50'x800. He said he was half tank of fuel... Look below in comments, he tells more.

Unbelievabel, how long is the runway?

I am not sure about his fuel loading, but I can tell you it is an 800'x50' model airplane runway.

Unbelievable!! If it wasn't on film, I'd have said impossible for aircraft that big.

VERY impressive short field crosswind landing! What's the strip length and how loaded were you (aircraft that is!)?
