  • To make it even quieter, almost silent, cut some hard plastic(butter container) to fit the area above chamber where the spray injector is. Fold some paper towel around the plastic and install. Works like a charm.

  • @inthesump I posted a video of how to build that silencer you are mentioning here. It works great! Check it out!

  • Ah I see.. So how did u get the water to the canister filter? Did u use a hang on back or did u just hang the hoses and use a canister with a built in pump?

  • @DanhNguyenster64 My Eheim canister filter (pump is built in) is placed below in the stand. I run the “inlet” tubing to the display (you are able to see the green tube in my aquarium), and the “return” tubing to the overflow. If you’re running a heavy load of corals or inverts you’ll need to get a stronger method of skimming and filtration.

  • Would the aqua C nano need modifications to be installed?

  • Respond to this video... Good question! If it were just as wide as the standard or pro I would say, yes.

  • I also have a JBJ 28 and I was curious was the main problem with the install the maxijet? If so I currently have a powerhead installed below my 3 stage filter horizontally have you tried that with a longer hose? I'm just curious because I plan on buying a remora but dont want to invest more on a canister filter.

  • @DanhNguyenster64 I tried to install a longer hose but I found that I was still unable to keep the original filter. Two things prevented me from doing this. 1, it would not fit with the Maxi-Jet resting at the bottom. 2, the Remora will not fit on the back of the aquarium with the original filter on it (hard PVC fitting on the Remora sticks out too far). Hope this has helped.

  • can u pls link me or teach me how to assemble this protein skimmer with the maxijet 1200? i have no clue how..do i use the maxijet 1200 prefilter thingy? or the longer one and where do i connect it to the aquac remora? thx

  • @keepitdownlo I will post a video to show you how look for it today.

  • Many factors are going to come into play when it comes to the success of your coral growth, having a good protein skimmer is one of them. I find that the AquaC does a great job for the size of the aquarium I have. If you are using a Coralife Super Skimmer I’m sure it would do a great job too. If you are looking for crystal clean water than you’ll need to look into a diatom filter, protein skimmers will only pull out the dissolved organics in the water.

  • Does the AquaC Remora skimmer will help corals grow more better and it will help the tank super clean? the AquaC Remora is better then the super skimmer in a reef tank? most people upgrade their skimmer to make corals happy and growing better?

  • Rgreez206, thanks for responding to my video. I purchased the skimmer at whatafish they had free shipping on any order over $100.00. They also had the best price I could find on all the Remora’s $139.99 for the nano, $163.99 for the regular, 236.99 for the Pro, and only $10.00 more for the drain plug! The order was placed on a Tuesday, shipped via FedEx on Wednesday, and I received it on a Friday in good condition. Hope this has helped my friend, happy reefing.
