  • Hell yeah, nature IS great

  • i cant masturbate to this

  • I live in England hampshire and I find these all the time in the summer in my house they can fly

  • D:

  • He has a strange way of eating. But he is still an amazing creature nonetheless. :)

  • Its Boomer Kuwanger from Megaman X! Except with much bigger horns.

  • I eat meat everyday and I am not even half as strong as these beetles who only drink sap and fruit juice.

  • lmao its ironic how theirs a terminex ad on a bug commerical

  • wow i had a boner now...its gone:(

  • The beetle was probably having the time of his life, you gave him good food

  • i went to germany this summer and we went to Aldi a lot. i heard u could buy anything there

  • daaaaaw:)

  • they're not so rare. They live in wet, darker places like oak forests, close to the trees, under leaves on moist soil. Sometimes they can be found in sewers. I found one in the city center, coming out from a sewer. You just have to know where to find them :)

  • wow!!!!!

  • Omg I'm so hungry now I want what he's having. And this vid was made 4 days before my birthday.

  • go pinsir!

  • It's mandibles look like demon horns and that red color they have makes it look bad ass!

  • remembered been scared shitless when i was little seeing theses beetles

  • I want that Ultralisk!

  • i thought it should eat fingers..

  • I saw this on pokemon...

    Thumbs up!

  • does the pincers hurt as much a fire ant bite?

  • @nom1girandzimfan Mandables, they are movable and are used for fighting.

  • Boomerang Kuwanger!

  • This beetle reminds me of "It" from Resident Evil 4.

  • I wish I had a pet stag beetle:(

  • You got the plum from Aldi?

I bet the beetle regretted that afterwards

  • lol no its just a regular beetle that developed armor

  • Comment removed

  • the smaller opnes are actually a bit cute. they remind me of goats. look at the head closely

  • reminds me of the movie Descript 9

  • Wow, that is an awesome beetle, wish I can have one.

  • Very cool thing to watch! I always wondered how they ate with those great mandibles.

  • Wild Pinsir Appeared!

  • Honey badger wanna eat that? Honey badger gonna eat that, honey badger don't give a shit.

  • Thats no Pincer...

  • reminds me of the movie Alien

  • looks like the king of june bugs

  • A Wild Haracross Appeared!

  • @Vloddamick lol no thats a pinsir, the stag beetle pokemon ;)

  • I get so upset when people think these beetles don't bite. They couldn't be anymore wrong. If really aggravated, giant stags can deliver a bite that not only hurts like heck, but can draw blood easily. They have very strong jaws which could poke a good hole in your hand, even through gloves. I've been there, and it's nasty.

  • DAMN! THATS BIG AND CREEPY!

  • i got bit by one of those mofos tryin to pick it up (im such a dumbass) and it hurt like a bitch

  • So cute <3 :D I have an elephant bug male and female and they are the amazing insects i have ever seen! So strong! Just amazing:) if you love insects you can come to Costa Rica, you see insects easily around :3

  • Stag Beetles are bloody awesome, shame my cat seems to think they are a rare delicacy

  • where are the eyes?

  • i never seen this kind of beetle before.

  • hahà_léUte_sUcht_mÅl_NÃch:_olikohle_åûf_g0øglë_võll_geil

  • arme sau ... musste aldi?^^

  • oh crap

  • wow those are one of my fav bugs

  • i want one of those!!!!!!

  • this video turns me on

  • where do you find this!? in your back yard? are you in amarica?

  • @LeaderFuzzy57

Hi, I live in Germany (near by Hannover) and yes

it lives here in the forests. But you VERY rarely see it.

The only time it flys is end of June. But this one was

brought to me by a pupil who had found him on the way to school.

I had to give it back the next day so he would be released

same place where he was found.

And I had him for a day and made the clip in my backyard.

you can hear my wife playing the flute :)

  • @Natureisgreat ur wife is playing flute? sounds good

  • can you imagine this thing duking it out with a hercules beetle?

  • @ARDVARK383

hard guess :) Lucanus would grab sideways,

Hercules from top - hmmm, both are born fighter ...

Hercules is a little bigger though, maybe he ll win.

  • That thing sells for $89,000. You should have kept it.

  • @drewskybrun00 I'm moving to Germany. First I was going to do it just because it is driving paradise, but I also like watching bugs.

  • its like its having another bug inside it

  • @TheCyberslasher1

yes , right , I was so amazed when I saw him doing it!

    opening the front door ;)

  • @Natureisgreat Can you PLEASE answer me this question: I once had the incredibly luck.. acutally twice in my life, I have come face to face with this insect; once I took in my hand, by its sides, it was on a sidewalk, and I put it in some bushes... I was SOOOOO CURIOS if it would hurt if I let it bite me with those huge jaws... but alas, my fear of pain was stronger than my curiosity; so my question is, so it can finally be put to rest... does it hurt? is it dangerous to humans?

  • @bbphnix it's not really dangerous, but it can hurt the skin to bleeding. It can brake a match, so you may not want to try it with your finger

  • NOW KICK IT xDDDDD

  • Damn nature, you freaking awesome!

  • cute =)

  • wow man that THING is kinda cool looking

  • I saw a lucanus cervus in my garden, he was eating a dead fish!!!

He maybe grabbed a dead fish that was floating on my pond.

  • @Bowserking1

Wow!!! I d never expect a lucanus do that !!

Dead fish - I wish you had had a cam with you then !

This one in the vid was the only one I ever saw in 41

    years :(

  • @Natureisgreat

My mother saw it and told me, then I immediatly went in my house for my cam.

But my mother threw a stone to it, Man I was angry!!

  • @Bowserking1 they would like to taste any liquid

  • Comment removed

  • @Bowserking1 Why was there a dead fish in your garden?

  • @f00tstep In the pond.

  • that thing can cut my steak now

  • This is Lucanus cervus, I found one of these 88mm long when stationed in Kaiserslautern, Germany clinging to a fence...cool you got him to eat! I found about 15 that year, all smashed by people except the one I found while he was climbing.

  • Wild Pinsir appeared.

  • imagine that thing pinching the fuck out of your foreskin and yanking and yanking and yanking

  • 10 of June- Thats my Birthday!!!

  • Excellent find my friend! You just found a wild Pinsir; now catch it!

  • These beetles are so cute but it looks like it would bite you 8|

  • Bugs are so amazing, most of them look like they could be in a sci fi movie but they are real which is the amazing part.

  • I love this video, the shot you get of the beetle is fantastic.

People always assume that the large horn like jaws are for eating, but they're primarily defense.

you get an incredible look at his tiny eating mouth part as he bites into the plum.

    as always, wonderful video's

  • i found one before and it bit my toe it really hurt

  • realy, realy, realy cool!!

  • what r u feeding it

  • Ash Ketchun was like: I CHOOSE YOU! GO, PINCER!

  • I like the horns :P

  • Pinsir FTW

  • Thats beautiful footage, People who don't give insects a chance are missing out.

  • that thing is cool lookin

  • i dont think its eatinq..mite be pleasurinq himself!

  • Its as though it has a body and then a large robotic shell around it :o Bugs are aliens!

  • WTF IS THAT!? - Not the beelte but the thing its eating!.. Evv it look wered! >_<

  • Nice environment quiet and I love the humming birds .

  • Are those pinchers or a 2nd mouth on its head :D ?

  • Wow, its quite beautiful.

  • do they make noises just like other bugs?

  • weve got these creatures in IL of the USA. They're pretty common

  • Oh my god... He has a probosis! SO COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!

  • nom nom nom

  • cute

  • He looks happy :D

  • I had one of these things land on my foot when I was in France. I was wearing sandals, too. T_T

  • yes but they only do if startled scared frightened there basicly harmless

  • In Bosnia, in early days of summer you can hear loud deep buzzing of these incredible creatures. They come from nearby forests, they do not bite but they can pinch realy good.

  • You know what am i going to do with it Open my beer

  • have you ever tryed mating it

  • dont u feed it special jello or something?

  • @yolkaz I had him for a day. and just gave him what I had - a ripe, soft plum.

Then the next day he was brought back to where he was found :)

They do live in this country in the wild, but you dont often see them !!!

  • a litle one bite me once they are strong

  • shoot it with an airgun

  • soaws gobts in NRW?

    Ich muss weg xD

  • @fghacbs lol

  • PINSIR, USE TAIL WAG.

  • I found one in my house on a window ledge any suggestions how it got there?

  • daaaaaaaaaaw aint it cute

  • I love stag beetles.

  • lucanus cervus? in other countries it´´ is in danger

  • no they only live in europe douch-bag. stags aren't aggresive at all :) in fact if you held it it wouldnt even notice :D

  • That depends on species. Some are aggresive, such as some Asian specimens I have. They do notice, all animals notice the touch of an object, whether it be a hand, a rock, etc. They just choose not to respond. You're talking about the European species, that rule doesn't go for all stags.

  • amazing

  • Its Pinsir!! >:D

  • does it bite you if you put your finger next to it

  • I think yes, it would

    but I didnt try :)

  • It might try, but the funny thing is, most of them can't, their antler thingys are made to fight other males (and occasionally other beetles.) Unless you had an amazingly fat finger or something wide, it couldn't "bite". The females though, they can pinch really hard. : ( I tried it once, I didn't expect it to hurt, and it drew blood.

  • @Natureisgreat no stag beetle don't bite they only use their horns for mating (and by mating i mean they fight the competing male for dominance in order to win the female over)

  • @Natureisgreat The males don't have the right muscles to bite with their antlers

  • @Natureisgreat they do bite but it doesnt hurt it feels like a babys grip the female on the other hand with its little pinchers can cause devistating damge

  • @Natureisgreat isn't their jaw too wide to hurt ur fingers?

  • @xmadteaparty No, it won't. But if it feels agitated or insecure, it'll flap it's wing cover real fast that'd inflict a real pinch to you, but that's only if you provoke it.

  • @xmadteaparty they do bite but not very hard. my friends dad used let them bite his tongue and we used to watch it dangle there until it got tired (or bord) and then either drop to the ground or fly away. i loved catching stag beetles in the summer with my brother and making them fight, i havent seen one in 10 years or more. maybe they died out in south london, who knows....

  • They only live in asia. When I was in Korea, i had one of those

  • This particular one was wild caught in Germany. But I think there are ppl all over the world breeding this sp.

  • @Natureisgreat @OhManFREAK Stag beetles are found all over the world. A friend of mine in Massachusetts recently sent me a picture of one she found in her yard that looks very similar to the species in this video. They mostly live in dead leaves, and are nocturnal, though they are attracted to light.

  • @OhManFREAK actually thats not true. they live in north america also.

  • @OhManFREAK ...i dont think that they live just in Asia.we hav it here in transylvania too...i just have one here in my home..my dad found it, but i think i'll will place him back in the forest...cuz there r pretty much rare..sadly

  • @OhManFREAK i found one crawling around my back yard and im in USA lol,so they're probably everywhere

  • @OhManFREAK

    They are also in europe

  • where can i get a stag beetle?

  • i wonder what would happen if i let it pinch my finger.. o.o

  • They cannot, absolutely cannot throw 15 lbs.

  • the dynastes is said to be the strongest organism in the world.

this is a stag.beetle , it was the first and only wild one I ve ever seen.

  • Phew...

I thought a Korean would eat this poor insect...

  • why ??

  • Aww, this is cute! I love beetles, they're like the dogs of the insect world :3
