I really wish I understood this video. I'm sitting here with my AK and a nearly identical sling, but I can't make heads or tails of what you're actually doing and with which part. My sling is already disassembled and I have no idea which way is which. I recommend reshooting this tutorial, but with slow movements, and with crystal clear close-ups of each motion.
You'll need a smal leather band and a metal loop, there, between the eyelet and the polypropilene webbing. Otherwise a very good sling will became useless.
You can't use this attachement style to a real AK47. The webbing you attached to the front eyelet will melt and, will brake, and you will lose your weapon. On my service weapon, after I fired 120 rounds (4 magazines) in semi and short bursts in full auto, the lacquer with which the stratified wood of the fore handle is impregnated, started to boil. The metal piece which has the eyelet for the sling attachement, is in direct contact with the barrel.
Yes sir it will. Go to the link at the video description, select three point slings, then select the sling model for the Remington 870 as it will have the same harness attachments. Thanks.
I have a "3 point sling" and it looks similar to this, but is this "prussick" (sp) slide proprietary to this IMPD brand of slings? I'm guessing not every 3 point sling can slide to single point?
Yes, the Prussik Slide Release Tab is proprietary to our slings. It is the only sling that allows you to transform the sling from a three point tactical assault carry to a single point configuration by just pulling a tab. It is also the only one to be reconfigured to a three point without re-snapping, or having to re-buckle anything or close a lever.
I have two of Urban ERT slings for my AR15's and my MP5 they are a lot nicer than the eagle 3 point. If you are looking for a sling that can be used on several weapon check his website.
