Im running a plastic spur gear with the OS.18TZ i modified and ive used plastic spur gear with way more powerful big block, its all in the gear mesh or alignment. If the chassis is bent, it will not work properly,
but yes, a metal spur gear can let you run your truck with this problem. :)
hey man i got a revo 2.5 with a os 18tz in it and i keep striping spur gears ive checked the gear meshing and it still does it im wondering if i should get i metal spur gear.
On tank 11, my friend let the engine overheated when bashing it and the piston was probably left at TDC, damaging the exhaust side of the piston. On tank 12 the flywheel was very easy to turn by hand. Thats when i opened the engine to see what was going on :)
Because we use it as test engine, the engine still perform extremely well as you can see, at tank 11 my friend let it overheated and the piston stayed at TDC, damaging the piston.
At tank 12 it had no more metal pinch... less compression than a 3 gallon one. But still run reliably enought to do some wicked mods.

I custom fitted the engine and built a mount from a 1/8 scale engine mount. :)

At tank 12 it had no more metal pinch... less compression than a 3 gallon one. But still run reliably enought to do some wicked mods.
