@werdorino You cant be supposed to be a face. If they cheer you then you are a face. Also things can change during a match. They were cheering for him at the end. I can tell you that i was a WCW fan at this time. I was in highschool. The talk going into the PPv at my school was that Benoit might actually win a title. We were DDP fans but we had never seen Benoit with a belt so thats why we were behind Benoit. We were also behind DDP.

@BruiserDrop that's true I was always just a bigger fan of benoit at the time. I remember DDP was cool but it got annoying seeing him get pushes that many other dudes with more to offer didn't get (benoit, booker, jericho, etc...)

@werdorino If u even know what push means, you wouldn't be able to enjoy wrestling as much at this time. Jericho was pushed. So was Benoit. DDP was in WCW longer and has busted his ass and come up the hard way. Jericho was only in WCW for 4 or 5 years. I hate the mentality now that guys should show up like Cena,Lesnar,Orton,Shamus and be at the top of the business in like 2 years. There is a pecking order and people need to obey tradition and work for things in the sport and quit bitching.

DDP got world titles and wins over legends who really did pay their dues while countless guys had to go over to wwf where they exploded. And DDP was only in WCW for a few years longer than jericho, not enough to give him seniority status when you consider how many guys were in wcw since the 80s. It's not "bitching" to think one star who you like more was more deserving of opportunities than one who u didn;t like as much
