  • This was actually very helpful! Could you just tell me the make and wattage of your solder please ? ty :)

  • Can someone help with a tech question:

I gave my Rotel RA-971 for repair, it right side gave no outpu at all. There were several corroded green contacts and I asked them to renew them.

It came back to me working but the green contacts were still the same and I didn`t notice any inside change in the parts.

How common/routine it is for technicial to renew such contacts and what are the consequences if they don`t. The shop also refused to inform me of what was the prolem all about.

    Any advice pls.

  • its a TV remote !! theres the light thingy..

  • @takuax44 lol

  • Would this be the same process you would use if you were Soldering a Battery Holder to a PCB Board?

  • wtf....HELL YEAH THIS IS THE BEST FUCKING TUTORIAL EVER

  • ***** i like horses *****

  • @elorguyo I'm hung like one :)

  • its Obamas fault I have to solder all my old shit back together.

  • WOW that was V E R Y dificult. . .

    jk lol

  • well that was good.

  • @mrjedidude I did it and it worked. I am a soldering master now

  • i shake like that also idk why but i do

  • @man13preet it sure is

  • clean your tip more so it louks silver

  • @MrJANTJE123 Spell "louks" right.

  • I have to solder 30 joints and an IC socket to a micro PC board using a Radio Shack iron. this is gonna suck :(

  • that was hard

  • you mean welding, joining of two metals by melting two metals using high temperature. Soldering only use soldering materials like lead to join two metals.

  • He doesn't tin his soldering iron so its all corroded.

  • lol look at him shake

  • @robert30319 Of course he's gonna shake. Generally a pencil type sautering device is about 3 inches from the tip. It would be hard to hold it perfectly still.

  • @HummerBuilder i dont shake when i solder or weld

  • @robert30319 Lol look at your life, it fails...

  • @robert30319 It's not easy to keep a steady hand when soldering, if you even tap the metal bit you could scar your hand/fingers.

  • @PokeHavoc try over head welding it really hurts to get a glob of weld on your arm

  • @robert30319 i know, luckily it cools in about 1 second but it really hurts

  • damn 11 secs and over 50,000 veiws.

  • @typlaya97 people like technology

  • @typlaya97 50,000 views because I had to watch it 10 times because it was so short! lol

  • can someone please tell me why you cant just take two metal cpmponents aka wires, overlap them slightly, and touch the soldering gun to them.... shouldnt they melt together?? I always thought that was soldering... thanks..!!!

  • I think the idea is that the wires require much higher temp. so it would require a much hotter iron. Solder melts at quite a low temp, so it's a lot quicker and easier.

  • Good simple video showing a beginner like me basic soldering.

  • wow this vid sucks crap

  • i think soldering is pretty easy.

  • Well it might be pretty hard when you solder guitar wires and etc. You must solder pretty good to keep the quality of sound.

  • thanks

  • Thank you very much, this video was very helpful.

  • Cool :)

  • que merda de vídeo hein

  • im 13 but my hobby is make the gadget or buiding something electric uses......

like the vid.........THNX for the vid...

  • im 13 but im using it to cheat in videogames with rapid-fire mods... wow, that makes me seem like a jerk...

  • When you try a modded controller, you will notice the difference

  • Maybe the person just wants to do it for the satisfaction of knowing they can do it

  • right, doing something illegal just to see if they can do it is real satisfactory woohooo...

  • wow dumbass... that defiantly is not illegal.

  • well whatever the case may be its still dumb cuz you can get banned on xbox live for doing it...dumbass

  • did I say I was planning on doing it. And no, you cannot get banned. Maybe suspended, but not banned. There is absolutely no way for them to PROVE that you are using a modded controller. For all they know you could jut be high on crack and very twitchy.

  • haha

  • lol

  • lol at your ignorance

  • listen.......im 6,6 240 lbs nfl size. so YOU better lay off

  • Keyboard cowboy LOL

  • END OF DISCUSSION gentlemen :)

  • me too i build lots of stuff i call it hardware hacking, very fun to do

  • its also very rewarding :D

  • Yes i will agree with you on that HH (Hardware Hacking) is very rewarding b/c when you finish building that one device that exists nowhere else in the world but in your house its the feeling of accomplishment, and you get new gadgets lol

  • totally i do it to computer hardware to make it perform better or make it do a specific task very rewarding :P

  • I agree on that

  • if this is supposed to help people thats pathetic. if anything it would confuse someone

  • i actually thought it was really helpful. i had to watch it a few times, but then i realized that all you really do is heat the joint and touch it with solder on each side

  • If this comment was supposed to help someone Phelps094 well thats just pathetic!

  • how does the solder tip, "not attract" solder, cuz whenever mine is hot, the solder sticks to the solder gun, not the board

  • same here lol

  • You don't want to apply solder to the tip and then carry it to the joint. Heat the join with the iron and then add solder on the opposite side of the joint. If solder is repelled by the pad and won't stick, it may be oxidized or have grease or dirt on it and requires cleaning.

  • ha ha ha u got dat from the video

  • Lol, it should always be that procedure =D

  • You look nervous.

  • What is that that you are building I see 2 LEDs on it

  • kind of looks like the inside of a computer mouse

  • I do this alot im pretty good at soldering i actually did this at one of the many jobs i took in the 90s i made those little display boards that show the CPU clock speed MHz numbers on computers, those rnt used much anymore b/c computer CPUs are in the Ghz range now

  • yea that are fun
