for any young black athlete who is well known shouldn't go to a college within the city they grew up in, the main reason is because there's to many Friends and Family that will tr to influence him while hes going through one of the most optimistic times in his life where he has to make big decisions by himself as a man. if his mom is acting like that over which college to go to imagine how she would react to what has to be done with HIS money.

Landon moved out of mothers unstable home, where it appears she couldnt commit to a man of her own, to his father & stepmother's home for his entire high school career. What you see here is a mother who LOVES LSU and has watched and cheered for them all her life. So when her son was good enough to be recruited by them, she was salivating at the prospect of not only rooting for LSU, but also rooting for her son PLAYING for LSU.
So when her son chooses the ENEMY SCHOOL ( Alabama ), that was devastating to her.
