you need to watch the puck going into your body you cant just keep looking forward and just hope the puck hits you and bounces off or something you need to watch the puck into you glove and dont be afraid to shift you body into the direction the pucks going just in case and you wont get hurt you have all the padding im a goalie myself and these are helpful tips
@theAman67 Actually, If this kid would listen to his advice it is spot on. Unfortunately he cant take direction very well, not to mention that he really doesn't move, very fast to begin with. Storr has made it very far as a goalie and has been coached well and repetition of the correct things as a goalie in practice and training translates to games, so I like his method (I am sure this is not all he does). This kid just isn't all that easy to coach.
CLOSE YOUR GLOVE! your just leaving it open so everything that misses the pocket falls out. You need to catch the damn thing not wait for some of them to hit the pocket.
Don't play the sport or even the position if you don't have a passion for it. People like you make all the other goalies learning to play look bad. Shame on you! Go sell that equipment and buy something that you will have a passion for...
The problem with this type of training is that he knows where the puck is going each time and still misses! Goalie training should involve a real shooter, when you know where its going each time it should be easy!
@meversmannpa also real ice, i tried synthetic ice for the first time and as a AAA goaltender it felt so plasticy, i cud push easily but once i got up i almost fell, it was brutal
those pucks coming from some machine? i mean it would be harder to catch the puck when youre not seeing the shooter. i would claim that theyre coming from a machine cause you can hear the wierd sound when the puck is shooted. anyone else thinking the same?
There's no way you should be missing that many glove side. Try moving your arm to make the save, instead of just flicking your wrist and hoping it goes into your glove.
Make sure you're bringing your stick over with you. He points it out to you a few times that you're lagging it behind, but you don't bother to correct it. You'll get sniped five hole all day long.
Clearly it's tiring, but you obviously don't have the work ethic to get to a higher level.
@kptheegoalie maybe the shot is just to fast for him... its harder when its a puck machine cuz you dont rly know when the pucks coming unlike when its a shooter, you see the stick so you know when the shot is coming...
his hands are dead from the stingers!!!! shit man, thats crazy!! STINGERS!

I think the reason he does put his glove all the way out is because
A: hes not used to the speed of the puck
B: He's scared of the puck because it's going to fast
I think the goalie coach should see this and slow down the machine.
