Clinton is not very good at reading que cards. Sorry, but these guys ain't gonna do a thing about Darfur or any of the other problems in Africa that are just as bad or worse. It's already "too late" for the hundreds of thousands dead and millions displaced. So much for "never again". I'd be happy if they prove me wrong though.

I hope they stand by this. I was in south sudan & have seen this situation firsthand. There's more to do than just end the conflict, we have to incorporate small projects with them afterwards to help them feel success again. I've never seen a place where the spirit of the people is so broken. At times they don't receive the help b/c they say, 'What's the use, it will just get torn down or blown up again." There's a whole different type of rebuilding needed because we've sat by for so long.

Genocide, whether in Nazi Germany, Bosnia, Rawanda, Darfur, or even Saddam's merciless killing of Kurds in Iraq, is unacceptable.

Your view on the war in Iraq, whatever it may be, freeing the Kurds from oppression was a good thing, but it's not enough.

We have to help Darfur, and I'm glad to see that it will happen in the next few years.
