  • BULLY! Simply bully my good man!

  • Nice work! You should put both your Traditional and Digital VTs' on disc and sell them off you site. I'm interested in picking up the uncompressed versions from you, can you please email me.

  • let the video download full and press 2 and 9

  • Great work! Thanks for posting Mark.

  • Do u sell these? I want one

  • @MrThedude89

Not really. There was a short time where I was painting a slew of these quickies on the inside cover of my book that I sell. This was one of those.

  • My MASTER

  • nice nice nice became a big fen of yours great work mate !

    cheers for sharing

best wishes for ya future projects!

  • great work !!

  • It's Danny Trejo!

  • there is so much man in this painting :D epic dude

  • Very good technique! i paint also oils and you are good, also good choice of colors. Maybe a bit sean connery ´s face. searching more from you

  • Does anyone else notice the unintentional face at the top left on the mixing thing?

  • Heh heh. Awesome catch. It's funny how the beard and then hat/fro gets added.

  • This is an awesome video, however, for those of you that are scared of oil, you can get the same effect with (Designers Gouache).....Try them both!

  • beautifull, but ive always been a sucker for oil =P

  • This is seriously great.

  • spetacular, wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • :o You're phenominal.

  • love your stuff dude..I should really stop using photoshop all the time and give the traditional a go..thanks for the inspiration!!

  • excuse me, I was wondering by alkyds you mean alkyds gel or alkyds oil? I'm looking for faster drying 'something' for the oils

  • Alkyd mediums (like Liquin) will speed the drying time of was done with mostly alkyd tube colors (and Liquin). I suggest buying a tube of white and a dark-neutral of some sort and playing for a bit. They do mix with oils so your investment/transition can be slow. Good luck.

  • Hey man. Love the vids. really helpful stuff. Can you maybe post a link to this blog you're referring to in one of the vids? THX in advance man.

  • just awsome

i've been learning a lot with your videos

do u have some advice to a beginner ?

  • cool to see u use the same technique to paint with oils as u do with digital.glad i found ur videos ur art was the stuff that got me into digital (even tho i struggle with it lol) i said before the best thing an artist can do is inspire other creative people to do good work.

  • i love oils!!! except when the oil paint or turpenoid gets on my hands... yuck.

  • It's on the inside cover of my book, which is a hardcover. There's a thin layer of acrylic gesso to protect the front cover and give me a decent surface.

  • that's actually pretty cool. love your work. reminds me a lot of my own freestyle portraits I'm doing. on what matter do you paint? cloth/leinen? (not sure on exact spelling in english)

  • Awesome!!! I put each of your oil speedpaintings into my favorit.

  • very nice dude.
