  • This jackass voted to repeal "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" after promising his constituents during the election that he would NEVER support it. The morale of the story: You can't trust republicans. Might as well go shopping on election day than to waste your time voting. In fact, that's what I plan to do in 2012.

  • Hey nice video could you check out mine? maybe subscribe'?

  • Sen. Kerry has poop for brains too. The Russians demand that it be in it. Also the Russians demand no changes. So if it was not binding us in their eyes, then it would not matter if it was removed.

It is in the treaty preamble, therefore it is in the treaty, and if ratified, will be binding on US.

  • @Quelkaima Russia has a 10 to 1 advantage over the US in tactile nuclear weapons that are not covered by this treaty. And then there is China to deal with.

This thing should be called the BOKYAG Treaty. That is short for Bend Over and Kiss Your Ar$e Goodbye.

  • @zassounotsukushi: What is smart about a treaty that prevents us from employing defensive missiles? And why do the Russians keep demanding that we do? If they had no intentions of attacking us or our allies, why do they keep trying to get us to agree to such a provision? is it a test by the Russians to see how stupid we are?

  • @CarolinaAu While I agree that ratifying a treaty that prevents us from having a missile defense, there's nothing in the START treaty that would bind the US to purposely weaken our defenses. No political leader would agree to that.

Senator Kerry (Chair, Cmte. on Foreign Relations) himself said there's nothing binding in the preamble, which is what the Republicans have been up in arms over.

IMO, though, it's time we get away from missile-based defense and guard ourselves more efficiently.

  • I have written as well. Ms Hagan wrote defending her position once, now I don't get any response. Mr. Burr however always response, in fact with his news letters he is generally ahead of me.

  • @evanroo27 You are right as well. She voted against the extend current tax rates and unemployment benefits. Voted for the unconstitutional health care and supported the Cap & Tax Bill. She is extreme fall Left.

  • Thank God for Senator Burr! At lease we have one Senator that is looking out for the best interests for the citizens of North Carolina.

  • @diggerv I agree. Senator Hagan represents herself and her Democratic base and not the rest of North Carolina, whereas Senator Burr does.

  • @evanroo27 You are so right! I can't tell you how many times I've written Kay and asked her when she was going to start looking at what the people want instead of her party. I told her if she keeps it up, she will be fired like the many who were fired Nov 2nd 2010. I've written Richard many times as well, to let him know what I expect and to thank him for listening to the people of NC and doing what's right for all Americans. We all should be writing them to tell them what we expect!

  • So you don't like START because it's not favorable to missile defense?

  • @zassounotsukushi I don't understand your disagreement with having missile defense? Could you elaborate? If Russia was only willing to agree with the START treaty as long as we dismantled defense missiles, you would be in favor of that?
