Very interesting. I am SO wanting an officially released here in North America Producer's Cut as Daniel Ferrands wanted. It should have been the end of the series, or a while new beginning. I liked both cuts of the film, but it should have gone to a better director (all of the cast said Joe Chappelle, a hack they all agree, only wanted a 3 picture deal with Miramax) and Ferrands had his say on the script and filming. He should have directed!

I was at the LAX horror-film show when this director showed a sneak clip of the movie. It was NOTHING like the film and was a complete fucking scam to trick you into seeing it. He even brought a life-size Michael with him complete with phoney knife. I should have robbed him for the ticket price right then and there...biggest waste of $6.50.

The trailer was very short and didn't show any of this cult mumbo jumbo; no tattoos, no men in robes, no sacrificial baby. They did a good job with the trailer by showing only a few chase scenese and distance shots with MM looming in the background.

@papajdizzzle Simple Michael was brainwashed and a curse was placed on him when he was a child. Said curse protects him from being killed and gives him all of his superhuman properties. The runic stones are a part of a sort of countercurse that would, I suppose, would destory the curse. Now, I believe the curse destroyed the real Micahel and created the killer that we see onscreen, therefore, once the curse was implemented Micahel would be destroyed once and for all...until the next movie.
