@zherekan It's funny how in every video on YouTube that features anyone or anything with a following someone will say something negative and some fanboy/girl will direct them elsewhere, but not before wondering aloud about the amount of free time or boredom these people have to bother saying something negative. As the saying goes opinions are like assholes: everybody's got one and they all think everyone else's stinks.
$10 say I won't live long enough to see this change...
@NaxNax96 And I suppose that what you just did with your comment was simply the way to win your own bet. I saw your other comment and ask you now, the fact that you like meat is enough to insult, or loose respect for someone that doesn't like it? Isn't overcoming your own nature something such evolved creatures like you are able to do? your canines *CAN* be for show. If you don't believe the kindness of Nature, how do you explain your own existence? Mormons? Aliens? Randomness is part of Nature.
@zherekan The fact that I like meat is irrelevant to whether I respect people who don't like it or not. This is not about eating preferences either -- it's about moral superiority. You assume the moral high ground by saying you've risen above your nature, unlike us meat eaters. I disagree. Anyway, the char limit on these comments is pathetic. Send me a PM if you really care about what I have to say on the matter, if not... have a good day.
Vegetarian people have a point: they understand that there's no need to hurt animals, or kill them, to make food. How can that make you loose respect for someone who is SUCH A DAMN GOOD ACTOR??. I'm not vegetarian, but I understand them, and I think they're right... "now I know why he's so short"?? that's some display of the american way "this guy's different, let's bully him"... "don't know this and don't wanna" and then you get mad when called stupid!
@Valovill Perhaps. But until you show me your academic standing in both your secondary and tertiary level of education, I maintain that I am superior to both faura and you in terms of mental ability.
" i wouldnt ask anyone to hurt them for me" " im peter dinklage im a vegetarian" Yeah i know tyrion lannister is just a character he plays but its funny how that character is the total opposite of him. " I want bacon burnt black"-tyrion lannister " im not good at doing violence but im good at convincing others to do violence for me."-tyrion lannister. Epic.
You can get all of the proteins you need from a diet free from animal cruelty. In fact, you should look up vegan body builders and tell them that they aren't getting the amount of protein they need because of their vegan diet, lol.
@ZoldierrZzz They're getting all their protein in powder form. In fact, all body builders get _some_ protein in powder form. To have that low % body fat with muscles that big (never mind the steroids) you _really_ need to take care of your caloric intake.
As for animal cruelty... you'd first have to convince me my canines are for show and I wasn't made to eat meat. "Mother" nature is neither loving nor kind.
I respect someone who doesnt eat meat cause they couldnt kill the animal more than someone who couldnt kill an animal and eats said animal. That being said, I will kill - and eat, an animal for food (and have). I respect your choice, respect mine :). But what irks me is when animals live terrible lives cramped into small pens.. No animal should suffer. Our farming system needs an overhaul. Eat wild if you can...
Has anyone ever been in a slaughterhouse let alone worked in one? Of course not. That's why they eat meat. Yes the world would "go to shit" if we all ended up doing everything for ourselves. And it would also become far less easy to reconcile loving our animals and eating them too. These haters stretching Dinklage's message to the extreme that "everyone must not eat meat" ought to recognize the blissful ignorance their convenient criticism comes from.
A few years ago I was at the wife's family farm. We butchered 3 hogs. Made a bunch of hams, bacon, ribs, sausage, etc. Took from 5 in the AM to 9 PM. We gave it all away in town to some needy families in Pierre, SD. That same day PETA had a protest against the local dairy farmers. They were dumping gallons of milk into the Missouri, while needy families could have used it. Fuck you PETA. I know where my meat comes from, from dead animals that I eat.
There are good points for eating meat from cultural and nutritional standpoint, but it doesn't make speaking on behalf of animal life inherently evil nor eating them inherently good if you saw something bad happen.
@QuentaSilmarillion To me peta is retarded for wasting animal food products. I understand if they believe vegan is the way to go but you made an excellent point that there are other ppl who NEED that food and could use it. Does it make sense for peta to waste gallons of milk? as IF that will stop the world production of milk? Their act of symbolism is just a waste and makes them look like pompous douche bags. Meat eaters dont force their opinions down other ppls throats, unlike peta.

Love you Peter, thanks for the great message! Humans deeming what animals (and other humans for that matter) are to be is no reason to discard our compassion for the living species on this planet.
Well, if I don't eat meat someone else will buy it in the market and eat it and cow will be killed anyway. So what's the difference? We are the food for anymals when we are in wild so it's all system of nature...
A lion sure does not think about sparing cute little antilopes, he just eats them. So I can eat a chicken. If the chicken would be stronger than I am it could eat me. That's simply the nature. Vegetarians are anti-natural and destryoing the natural balance of the foodchain.
Think about it. If we all turned veggie overnight, we would have to kill a large population of the worlds animals as there would no longer be a reason for their existence. PETA are actually an evil organisation dedicated to the removal of animals from existence entirely, in order to control future world food supplies consisting of Soylent Green.
Sorry no, they just want to remove animals arbitarily it seems, in the name of protecting them.
Yeah, fuck PETA. I also love animals and would never hurt them for no reason other than eating them (and that means killing them, not making them suffer). PETA are nazi vegans who even are against blind-assistance dogs or any kind of pets. Not to mention their crazyness about getting everyone vegan, which would break the food pyramid and alter so many animal and vegetal species.
PETA doesn't like the idea of pets and they also organize rallies against animal shelters while they euthanize animals themselves. Fuck PETA. Fuck their leadership. And fuck the misguided idiots who fall prey to their bullshit propaganda.
@Lyleamarie I love bacon. And I'm a vegetarian. Did you note that he didn't say he doesn't like meat or bacon or whatever, just that he chooses to not eat it? Sometimes we find things that are more important than taste. Or, we give up a good thing for a better thing. Its a choice.
im not sure how some of these people can act like its cool to be aware of the suffering of animals and not care. this, "fuck em i luv me sum meat boyzzz" mentality is so idiotic. perhaps they are just too stupid to realize the magnitude of these decisions. eating meat doesnt make you a tough guy. also, have fun with the beer gut, cancer, and heart disease in your mid 50's guys. retards
im sorry i love hamburgers,i love bacon,i love steaks,i love fajitas..and if some poor little moo cow or piggy has to die to taste good..call me up ill cap the fucking the myself and we can get to eating ok!
Neanderthals were known for eating primarily just meat. They were also known for their lower intelligence compared to developing homo sapiens, and if you study nutrition or anthropolgy you would know that omega 3's are responsible for brain development. While fish are a source of omega 3, many grains are known for their high omega 3 content such as flaxseed. Also it has been found that humans started developing intelectually when they moved from inland to the coast and ate seafood. Go figure.
The argument presented from PETA is that since animals were lucky enough to be born with nervous systems that can warn them of danger, we should not harm them. Instead they would prefer that we focus on eating from "lesser" kingdoms that do not deserve our respect. I wonder what PETA would say about otherwise fully-developed animals that were genetically engineered to grow unaware, without any mental faculties? They'd say it's monstrous, no doubt. They just don't like eating cute things.
No disrespect for vegetarians or Peter Dinklage.( I fucking love him in Game of Thrones and he seems like an okay guy) PETA on the other hand can go fornicate themselves with rusty steak knives.
How original. And he doesn't. No what? Everyone does what is in their sphere of priorities or possibilities. Doesn't make you a cool badass because you like to eat steak.
I became a vegetarian for this cause too. I believe that it is ok to eat animals but I am against the abuse that has resulted from the food industry and the demands on it. There is a right way to do things and there is a wrong way. I am happy that so many idols are standing up for this cause.
That's the most rational and least hostile vegetarian argument I've heard. I'm still not a convert, but I respect your position and your method of delivery.
@BanicDurn Wow, that's the most cynical thing I've heard in a long time. He says he's a vegetarian because he doesn't want to hurt animals and that commands disrespect from you? You are fucking pathetic.
P.S. My respect for him went hugely up after discovering he's a vegetarian.
@Hellzyead Well, back at the primate stage, we didn't eat meat. But over time we learned to, and we also learned to cook it when we invented fire and learned to grow herbs. Nowadays you can find substituts for meat, like vitamin pills and all kind of great stuff. It's just a part of the evolution.
I was a vegetarian for a little while when I was a kid because I found a vein in my chicken leg... it was then I decided that you shouldn't be willing to eat anything you wouldn't be willing to kill. So yes... if it was the only way I could get it, I would absolutely slit a cows throat for a roast. I wouldn't be willing to kill a dog, but then again I don't want to eat one.
@liquidpyramid Well, it's fair enough: Tyrion steals the show in the books, too. He is easily the most fully drawn individual in A Song Of Ice And Fire.
When I was getting into the books ten years ago, and friends and I would speculate who could play the Imp, none of us could come up with a decent answer (Warwick Davis?). So... we are all lucky Dinklage popped on the scene. The guy is really, really good.
As someone who's made the "unkind" choice, this is honestly the kind of ad that I think Peta should do. It's honest, open, and sincere.
Do I agree? No. But I can respect something like this versus Pamela Anderson getting naked on a billboard. It helps, of course, that Dinklage is a phenomenal actor.
"make the kind choice" ...Peta is one of the most brutal, hypocritical, phony organizations in the world. They kill more animals "so they don't have to endure captivity" than any other so-called animal rights agency. They killed 94% of animals rescued in 2010. Make the kind choice, boycott Peta.
Damn. I was starting to like this guy. Totally fucking ruined this guy for me. Fuck Peta. I love animals too, but Peta is WAY batshit crazy in everything they do. And FUCK YOU for trying to push vegetarianism on people. Thats your own personal choice, but seriously get the fuck off your high horse. You're trying to get people to partake in an unhealthy lifestyle, unless you know what you're doing and take supplements for what you'd be missing from meat. *Steps off soapbox*
@luckyjinxer Vegetarian and vegan diets are endorsed by numerous health and medical organizations, both government and private, as being complete and nutritious diets. They're also better for the environment. I think the high horse is justified against ignorant comments like yours.
@z06forme Their raised to be eaten? no they are meant to have a happy life just like a cat or a dog. I will have you know beef is rotting in your colon so if you want that then go right ahead buddy.
Dogs and Cats have the lives they live because that's what we humans allow them.
Cows are nothing more than food for us, because that's what we humans deem them to be.
There is no higher power saying "Oh you Cows need to be happy!"
I don't even eat meat, I get all my protein from protein shakes, nuts, beans etc. But that point of animals being free and happy is nonsense. They are what we allow them to be, nothing more.
@ZKY2 They are what we allow them to be nothing more??? What nonsense is this? Animals exist in their own right, they do not exist just for us to control. Without our evolutionary tree and the animals on it we would not even be here and if for some reason we ceased to exist, animals would get on with being alive perfectly fine without us.
Yes that is how things are, which does not make it ethical or moral. What gives us the right to put sentient beings through tortureos lives, simply the fact that we can? I think mercy and compassion should be an indicator of evolution, as hopefully we got past the part of raw survival

@ZKY2 What a poorly thought out non point. Women have often been "what we allow them to be" and still would be essentially slaves if we as a modern society didn't abandon most of the teachings of the bible. That doesn't make any of it right, or decent, or tolerable.
Regardless of whether you believe in a higher power or not, thinking there needs to be a higher power for something to be true or relevant (like "cause no undue harm, cause, duh, harm is harm") is a sign of low intelligence.
A stupid and overly smug argument is enough to see low intelligence. Only low intelligence would require biographical information as further confirmation.
First of all, your authoritative argument is ironically the same as in the bible (without some of the metpahors). The error is that you have nothing to do with the life and existence of animals. They have their lifes and humans have theirs. There's quite simply no natural "authority".
@scavengedfantasyname Nothing to do with? This is our planet. Everything on this planet belongs to humans. We don't "share" it with animals. They are not our equals. They are our food, they are our pets, they are ours. End of.
See, stupid. Feelings are feelings, harm is harm. Causing it makes you a dick. Whether you think you're super-awesome and should be allowed it or not. You can still ahve your meat, I don't say anything against it, but there's no intelligent reason not to respect other opinions who are concerned about well-treatment of different creature's.
@scavengedfantasyname Well treatment and eating meat have nothing to do with each other...Good intentions are the necessary (yet insufficient) condition of righteousness.
Good consequences are the sufficient condition of righteousness.
Some are either more intelligent or have a different character or have empirical knowledge about the psychology of animals. I'm not saying you shouldn't eat meat. I do too and I don't care. But I care when your argument sucks and you are arrogant abou soemone's else's opinion although it doesn't really impinge your standpoint. It makes you a sadistic powerhungry dick to do needless harm and distress to another creature. How are people not getting this
@scavengedfantasyname You have some serious problems if you equate a "Humans are better than animals" standpoint to "You're harming animals needlessly for fun' standoint.
Where the fuck did I ever even imply that I go out of my way to harm animals?
Also, stop this ridiculous bullshit. "Oh you don't agree with me so you're obviously unintelligent" then call ME arrogant?

A lion sure does not think about sparing cute little antilopes, he just eats them. So I can eat a chicken. If the chicken would be stronger than I am it could eat me. That's simply the nature. Vegetarians are anti-natural and destryoing the natural balance of the foodchain.

Fythbro 6 months ago
Think about it. If we all turned veggie overnight, we would have to kill a large population of the worlds animals as there would no longer be a reason for their existence. PETA are actually an evil organisation dedicated to the removal of animals from existence entirely, in order to control future world food supplies consisting of Soylent Green.
Sorry no, they just want to remove animals arbitarily it seems, in the name of protecting them.
Fythbro 6 months ago
Yeah, fuck PETA. I also love animals and would never hurt them for no reason other than eating them (and that means killing them, not making them suffer). PETA are nazi vegans who even are against blind-assistance dogs or any kind of pets. Not to mention their crazyness about getting everyone vegan, which would break the food pyramid and alter so many animal and vegetal species.

@Lyleamarie I love bacon. And I'm a vegetarian. Did you note that he didn't say he doesn't like meat or bacon or whatever, just that he chooses to not eat it? Sometimes we find things that are more important than taste. Or, we give up a good thing for a better thing. Its a choice.

im not sure how some of these people can act like its cool to be aware of the suffering of animals and not care. this, "fuck em i luv me sum meat boyzzz" mentality is so idiotic. perhaps they are just too stupid to realize the magnitude of these decisions. eating meat doesnt make you a tough guy. also, have fun with the beer gut, cancer, and heart disease in your mid 50's guys. retards

However, nothing beats a nice steak! ^^

Make the kind choice, boycott Peta.

fuckinmars 11 months ago
@fuckinmars Animals have whatever we allow them.
ZKY2 9 months ago 19

Regardless of whether you believe in a higher power or not, thinking there needs to be a higher power for something to be true or relevant (like "cause no undue harm, cause, duh, harm is harm") is a sign of low intelligence.
scavengedfantasyname 5 months ago
@scavengedfantasyname "is a sign of low intelligence" I didn't know you had a background in human biology and psychology. Who knew.
Animals are animals. They're nothing but flesh and bone. 'Happiness' doesn't factor into it unless we allow them.
We don't give a shit about the happiness of cows because we deem them to be food.
We do care about the happiness of cats because we deem them to be pets.
How are you people not getting this?
ZKY2 5 months ago 13
@ZKY2
The capabilities of feelings differ with species.
scavengedfantasyname 5 months ago
@scavengedfantasyname Nothing to do with? This is our planet. Everything on this planet belongs to humans. We don't "share" it with animals. They are not our equals. They are our food, they are our pets, they are ours. End of.
ZKY2 5 months ago 6
@ZKY2
See, stupid. Feelings are feelings, harm is harm. Causing it makes you a dick. Whether you think you're super-awesome and should be allowed it or not. You can still ahve your meat, I don't say anything against it, but there's no intelligent reason not to respect other opinions who are concerned about well-treatment of different creature's.
scavengedfantasyname 5 months ago
@scavengedfantasyname Well treatment and eating meat have nothing to do with each other...Good intentions are the necessary (yet insufficient) condition of righteousness.
Good consequences are the sufficient condition of righteousness.
Try to understand that first please.
wakeandbakelol 5 months ago
@ZKY2
"How are you people not getting this?"
How are people not getting this
scavengedfantasyname 5 months ago
@scavengedfantasyname You have some serious problems if you equate a "Humans are better than animals" standpoint to "You're harming animals needlessly for fun' standoint.
Where the fuck did I ever even imply that I go out of my way to harm animals?
Also, stop this ridiculous bullshit. "Oh you don't agree with me so you're obviously unintelligent" then call ME arrogant?
Get the fuck over yourself. Christ.
