sorry for replying so late but yeah, sorta. bb-daman bakugaidaen seasons 3, and 4 were titled "bomberman b-daman victory so its the same show, but with a different title

@HyperSonicXtreme Actually CGI existed since the mid 1980's (Young Sherlock Holmes, Terminator 2) but it wasn't until Pixar and Toy story that the technology and methods were made cheap enough for most companies to produce CGI and that it would come to the forefront as a viable animation alternative

These Japanese shows always put their money in the wrong place. Blowing it on a fancy opening and ending, and making four or five of these for the whole series overtime instead of on the actual show itself. What the hell?

The opening typically brings in all the attention, and when people get used to it, it's wise to have it changed.

For a 50-episode series (one year!) having two versions is reasonable. For Conan, about 20 is quite right, too.

The effort spent is often expected to be paid back by the reception of the theme song itself, so it is wrong to assert they would be wasted.

The presence of the opening on Youtube, and its popularity you should have witnessed down there, should explain more.

The name of the song is "Bokura no Victory" (which translates to 'Our Victory'). It seems to be by a group/vocalist called "Pirates" (Paireetsu), but I've had no luck in locating a full version mp3.
